microsope for checking trichrome ripeness/bugs/etc.

i have looked around a little bit and found multiple 60-100x illuminating microscopes that can be purchased from 10-20 dollars, is this the right tool for the job?

Yup. I got mine at radio shack, I believe the price was $12.04 and it does a great job.
thank you very much for the quick feedback. It's greatly appreciated, now with this you can see the amber color in the trichromes when they start to ripen, correct? Because, i have read things saying you need a jewelers microscope, which is wayyyyy to expensive

You should be able to see the color change no problem at all. I use a 30X and you can see all stages from growth to clear to milky to amber so 60-100 will work even better.

alright sounds good to me, do all come with the illuminating feature or is this standard? Sorry if this question is ridiculous
