midget plants but bushy as hell

can anyone tell me why my plants would bigger round than they are tall? they are like 6 weeks old and very short :peace:

just bagseed. i did top them a couple days ago. and for the pics i have a camera but for somereason my puter wont load it...they are about 7 inches tall and every bit of that wide....I thought maybe i had to many plants and not enough light?...have 15 lights on 8 plants and 2 seedlings..they are 26 watt 6500 k cfls...any suggestions?

What soil,nutes,humidity levels..etc? KEEP SMOKE ALIVE!!

mg moisture control potting soil, blood meal 12-0-0 and schultz 10-15-10, temps are staying between 80 to 85...this is my first so im learning quite a bit thanks to all of you...all replies appreciated :peace:

Reads well. It could be genetics of that plant and indoor grows never yield gigantic plants. That's why growers' top,SCROG,SOG, or prune their plants to get better yields. KEEP SMOKE ALIVE!!

UPDATE..ok i been barely watering these plants in fear of over watering them, so since they wasn't growing to much i decided last night to give them a good watering...and i'll be damn if they haven't grown at least 2 inches in the 6 hours the lights were off.....problem solved i think....:clap:

I'm having the same problem with some of my outdoor plants... they are about 2 months old, in soil. They were originally cloned from a flowering plant and were growing kind of funny for the first few weeks. Now they are short bushes with a lot of tops. I haven't topped any of them, but I've trimmed them out a few times. They are Jason King's Purple, fed with Foxfarm Grow Big and a few Supernatural products from time to time.

15x 26watt cfls lol, the plants arnt streching up because they dont have to, drop that down to something like 5 or 6 and they will grow up.
