Well I have searched and not to much came up.

So here is my idea. I'm 20 min from some nice mountains in so cal. My indoor grows are maxed out. But sence I always have extra clones I was thinking of trying to find a nice place to grow maybe 4-5 plants. Only problem is there will be times I can't get out there for 4 weeks. So would it be better to look for a site around the water/ streams or locate a lush area with lots of growth. Sence that means soil shouldn't be to dry. I already have a soil plan and will try to get out ever 2 weeks but who knows. Would place a chicken wire cage around the stocks to protect for small animals. Liquid fince to deture larger. And diatamus (sp) earth around each to help with bugs. This is just a experiment to see what would happen but want to try and make it work and give the girls the best chance.

So the questions are.
1 what location would you look for and why?
2 anything different you would do?
3 I'm I just a dumn ass for thinking of trying to do this. Lol
Thanks for any input.

I would say spend a lot of time up there, hiking & looking around. Get a feel for just how secluded it is. :) So Cal. Mtns Aside from trying to avoid LEO you must ensure you do not setup shop 20min from another gurilla op.
Many mountains around me, though I would not advise one go trotting along up there :P

I was going to spend a few days locating a plot. And checking area around. Don't want to fuck with another grow and don't want them in mine. Then I was going to spend a day watching the sun for prime sun. After that was going to set up my holes. And sence I got some time I m sure I can get it going in time even if it takes a few weeks longer I can and will start them in my room and slowly get them use to out doors when I'm ready.

Aqua crystals.......I used them and never had an issue with water, even though I could tend to them, they never once looked dry........I put them in wet, with nutrient solution.....they retain water, and when it does rain will absorb again.....

So aqua crystals would help get me to the 4 week mark? Or just 2? I'm not trying to be lazy. I would go there as much as I could but my fulltime job and perpetual indoor grow take alot from me. Just think it would do a wild out door for once.

Google earth can give you a really good birds eye view of the landscape before you go. You can check the mountains you want to grow in and look for deep woods, clearings, roads etc. If you can only check every couple weeks, its not a good idea to grow from seed, but if your only growing clones, the only thing I would be worried about is water. Adding some soil additives will help, anything that helps retain moisture, followed by a nice layer of mulch. Mulch can be anything like leaves or grass, it stops the sun from evaporating so much water from the soil, and keeps the soil moist and cool. Your going to need areas with 5-6 hours of direct sunlight a day minimum. Chicken wire is highly recommended, A single rabbit can do some incredible damage. Slugs are an issue when plants are small, a box of slug bait pellets works quite well. Leave no trails, Do not be sighted and do not tell a single human being. Hope that helps, happy toking. :bigjoint:

Thanks. Guess I better find away to get my ass there. Might be easyer then trying to set up to water every 4 weeks. Well now it's off to find a spot. Think that's going to be the hardest thing. Alot of rippers here

The Aqua crystals carried me to the two week mark......annqdd no signs of drying out......it al depends....the more crystals u use the more water that's retained....j only used about 2 cups worth in the noting of my holes.....so in theory if u had longer periods, use more crystals.....and if u loosen the soil around any rain will drain to the crystals and replenish them....I had a few people that planted when I did and 2 put of 3 lost crops due to lack of water, and time......

Well I desided to change from so cal to another location in central Cali. On the map there is 2 prime locations. About 2 mile hike and a mile apart. Might check them out this weekend. Water flows out of the hills to a small streem that stops about half mile. Trees all around to help with the heat it gets realy hot there. Like in the 120 range. So I might just do 2 plots of 5 if everything is good. I will have to figur out how to stop cows and pigs to but nothing a fince can't fix.
