So the dude used most of the BOM in the diode basket so to speak..... Osram top group/bin? is pricey, not as high as Cree xpe2 660nm. Hence the lower overall count and remote generic driver....... Yes, their is room for improvement, at a higher price;-)

Not a fan of the flimsy bracket attachments and driver , still a decent light. Ppf/w confirmation should be done at some point imo, with his online rep & yt show.

@OVH How's the thermal management? Bar temps

So driver is zhonhen power energy.
Model PF-P250CC-C230-S-DM

As for the heat, I have the driver mounted externally with usb fan blowing on it. It is a respectable temperature, not to hot. I have a oscillating fan blowing in center of the tent it stays in the 80-85 Fahrenheit range, so good there.

The bars don’t seem hot to the touch or anything as the fan hits them when it’s moving the air.

I Could maybe dig up a temp gun to get accurate readings on driver and bars sometime this week.

What's the output voltage and current of your driver? Is it listed on the front?

A review/ live par test on the Aray won't remove the word estimated from the listed
PPF/Watt figure. For that Shane will have to have the lights tested by a professional, unbiased third party.
Amen, he will find a way to rig his test so that it looks like he has got the most efficient fixture going.

Guaranteed he never hand his lights over to an "independent" unbiased third party... But he has done such a great job testing other companies lights how can we not trust him lol!!!

That cant be right. That would mean the samsungs are being driven at near max (0.5w) and barley push 2.3/2.4 umol/j
Sounds about right for Shane think his 2.7/2.8 umol/j "estimate" is a bit off...

Oh well at least he was honest enough to admit it was an "estimate"... I wonder if the people visiting his site will notice this fact, or whether they will just see 2.7/2.8 umol/j... Very clever and very deceitful!!!

Remember back in the day on here when this light would have been ripped apart theoretically and the numbers broke down to within a few percent. donsnt happen anymore.

Got one, ill post the test result.

How are you testing it? With a handheld like Shane what's the point again? can skew positive or negative depending on your bias.....I can guess which way you're leaning:-P

Half this forum is using unbranded baba strip lights, without the term "estimated" in the specs. Still only around a dozen grow light companies with third party testing......

ahahahahaha don't make me laugh. Its off for actual photometric testing. I have no control over the results posted.

Agreed, those were the good old days lol...

Really looking forward to you theoretically ripping this light apart and throwing the numbers up here, so we can see if Shane's "estimated" 2.7/2.8umols/j comes to fruition, cannot wait to see the results
