I did on my first grow and had ok results. It was hard to control the ph and I had some nute burn. I would much rather get soil and nutrients and have more control.

You can spend a little bit more money now and save yourself a lot of hassle and frustration. It doesn't have to be the best, but miracle grow is practically the worst.

defnate look into fox farms and self mix your soils such better results this way try some good fung. soil and guano &worm casting to mix in there is so much better than m.g.but its all part of the learning

You might try Gardeners Gold or Happy Frog potting soils, they are both great i personally add 25% Perlite to make sure it drains well. This is just what i do not sayings its the best but a shit load better than MG.
Happy growing!!!

Happy Frog contains a lot of wood, dries fast. I am using it now, and won't use it again. MG isn't bad, you jsut have to be easy. It's not the soil that kills plants, its the cultivator. Just be easy on nutes etc if it's your only option and youll be fine man... tons of people use MG for canna.. not everyone has the knowledge and resources liek we do..

Well Mg isnt the best and yes most times it is the cultivator that kills the plant but the nutes release from Mg is what tends to hurt most new growers because its not very dependable and yes tons of people do use it but not those that grow any thing truly decent,...........And yeah Happy frog does kinda suck it just doesn't keep well there are much better options the research is there just look for it or ask around you will be fine

Oh my, more MG dissers hehe. If ur gonna use MG, make sure u r on top of ur PH at all times. Ive always used MG and when i found its preferred ph, all harvests since then have been crazy potent. When u first plant, ph ur water to 7.4 for a few days, then gradually step down. So go to 7.3 for a few days, 7.2 and so on until u get down to 6.8. From wat ive found, 6.8 is a nice comfort zone for them. I usually make the whole step down process last about 2-3 weeks, preferrably 3 weeks. Anyways theres my 2 cents hehe, good luck to u bud.

At no point am i dissing MG Im just reiterating its not the best esp for new growers there are better and easier soils that will give them less stress

Hehe no worries, MG is definitely a very dissable thang if ya let it be. But if u r new to growing, ultimately do ur own experimenting bud. U can read all u want and get ur foundation, but have some fun, ull be amazed at wat u can teach urself. Ive already stated some ph lvls that ive had luck with, but whos to say it will work for you, because there are so many other variable in the equation. Such as how well you are at reading your plants and knowing when to simply water them. And the list goes on as you will find out. But ultimately have a kickass time doin ur thang!

wow all this over a simple question asked Mg it will work ok so it may not work as good for some as others but it will grow so will dog crap in the right mixture but im not feeding that to my plant, inadvertantly there are many soil mediums to grow in it up to the grower to figure out which will work for them if you can make Mg work for you cudos just enjoy learning what you are doing on the way as stated by a few on here it works , it may not work the best but it does work shi@t I have seen a grow room using desert sand that produced some of the best buds I have ever tasted so i think we can all agree in the end its not what you grow with but how you maintane what you grow just remember to love your plants and keep learning for them and you to produce the best you can within your means

I'd say that if you have other options than miracle gro then you should go with the other options. Otherwise, I'm sure if will be fine

From personal experience use fox farms soil products they work amazingly!. . .I would stay away from miracle grow as much as possible they are like the fast food of soils. :) kdazz
