For my first seedlings i chose miracle grow as my medium, Ive heard over the web that MG is not good for marijuana growing?
I planted my seed 4 days ago and I have still yet to see a sprout. Any pointers to help me out?

buy some soil at HGT dude.. MG is freaking useless shit most of the shit at lowes and walmart is... i started with some sta green seed started.. that shit was made of 60% bark.. which caused slowww ass growth.. i decided to buy soil online.. foxfarm.. that shit made my weed grow twice as fast.

how deep did u bury your seeds? Thats more likely the reason they are not sprouting yet. I am growing 3 top 44 plants in miracle grow soil and they look amazing. They are 1 month in 16" high and i'm just starting to bud them.

Here's one of my MG girls from a couple weeks ago..

MG works great. It's super-simple; you don't need to add anything throughout the life of the grow (assuming you're using the "feeds for 3 months" variety). In fact, adding things to it is how you fuck it up. One thing I would suggest to MG soil users is to work in some dolomite, 2 tablespoons to the gallon, as it tends to be a little unstable towards low pH (ALL commercial soils share this quality.. Foxfarm products try to counter this by adding the dolomite up front).

I'll pop in a link to a very long and sometimes rancorous debate over MG products. Bottom line, people's yank against it boils down to the fact that it's "corporate and non-organic". As if all these fancy expensive bottles with faux MJ leaves on them were created out of love of the Earth..

Just hang with it.. if your seeds don't sprout, it goes back to how you germinated them, planted them, or the seeds themselves. Seeds and seedlings don't use anything from the soil for the first week or two. They'll start in just about anything.

Yeah, for real. No matter what anybody tells you, MG Soil is good. A lot of people don't like or aren't used to the slow release of the nutrients. They tend to add extra, and then they end up with nute burn and sometimes an low pHd soil. Stick with it. I'm going to have to say either wait a little longer, or try again but germinate carefully. There's no way it's the soils fault. I germinate in a paper towel. The seeds couldn't care less where they germinated. As long as they have warm water.

And remember, when your plants get larger, don't add nutes for at least 2.5-3 months.
