Misting?

I have been giving my plants a light misting especially underneath the leaves to give them a little hydration as well as keeping the pests away.

I am starting the flowering period and wondered if I should stop this as some popcorn buds are just starting to form?

Thanks.

Misting is good for clones while rooting. Misting and HID lights don't mix. The excess water causes burns on the bud and leaves as the water acts like a magnifying glass. There is also a problem of bud mold and mildew once the plant is making flowers in an indoor grow.

yeah, it depends what lighting u have..i vegg with t12 fluros, and i mist my plants on regular basis, because indoor is all about copying outdoor environment without the freaking bugs...in flower stage i stop all the misting, expect for the first week....:peace:

Sounds like a brilliant way to get mold and whatnot started once your at popcorn. Same goes in a tomato & pepper garden, it would be a brilliant way to get blossom end rot going in the flowers...

The way I understand it, misting and good old fashioned rain makes nitrogen in the air available to the plants... so its like a foliar feeding.

Spanish Fly ... presumably your dealing with large outdoor plants, or large numbers or both..... "taking too long" just means you dont have the right tool. A Fogg-It nozzle would be the correct tool. >>> http://www.elitegardening.com/gardening_water/index.html#nozzle <<< It makes a fine mist fog.

The only way to make that situation good is to turn off the lights long enough for the fans to blow dry the leaves... and probably with the lights off, and UP out of the way... exploding light bulbs might not be a pesky problem...
