MISTING

my grow room temperature can be a bitch in the summer months of which we dont get many in the UK !. I keep my dark period to the hotest part of the day. but still in the hight of summer temps get up around 32c sometimes higher. what are your thoughts on, when in veg misting with just water as the evaporation process should, in theory, cool down the leafs.
if i raise the lamp the temp round the plants does drop but obviously i loose lumens. which would probably mean an extra week or 2 vegging.
i have good air exchange which is more than enough most of the time as our weather in the uk is usually shite.
i grow in a 4x4 green room tent with a 600w lamp. 5'' intake direct from out doors & a 6'' exhurst.
any tips you that might help.

I have the same set up as you except for a 400W bulb. I had to change my grow cycle to the winter months for cooler air. The only way I could get the temperature down in the hotter months was by using a/c. It got too expensive. Myself, I would not do misting due to mold concerns.

HPS bulbs run cooler than the same wattage MH bulb. In the summer time here (N. Mich.) I shut down my MH veg bulb and replace it with the same size HPS bulb.
