I've been treating my mites for awhile now and it just seems i can't get rid of them, will the white spots on my leaves go away when there gone? how will i know except to just check every leaf? how often should i spray and with what? ive used neem oil and tried dish detergent water also spraying my plants with the light on to lower humidity. any help would be great

Try mite-rid or pyrithium concentrates foiliarly and always in the dark and do the whole plant every sq in and you need to do this weekly and be as tenatious as they are because they are survivors the little bastards.

yep I went through same thing. If your planning on spraying them with treatment.. Do not put them back in the light room or outdoor.. keep them in a dark place till the treatment wears off. I made the mistake of spraying them and putting them back in the grow room -- and the next day the leaves were yellow and dry. so what i did the next time.. I sprayed the plant put it in a dark place for about an hour.. took her back out and gently clean the leaves with a paper towel till there was no treatment left... and hooray! the mites were gone.

unless your using HID's and they are close to your canopy, do not worry about your light burning your plants. The above poster has other issues. If your using neem, make sure you spray the entire plant thoughly. You must spray the entire surface of the plant. A better way would be to make a dip in a gallon or 5 gallon container, depending on the size of your plants. Dip your plants. This ensures the entire plant is coated with neem oil. Do this 3 times, every 5-7 days. Follow the mixing instructions on the container of neem. GL

Ihad bugs but I used a culmination of products like miterid, azamax, and pyrethium to achieve total kill and also never take clones from an outside source anymore.

Here's what I killed spider mites with when they come in
I went to drug store and got lice shampoo, if you can use it on kids why not plants 1 oz to 32 oz water , spray all and repete every 3 days for 1 and half week kills all kind of bugs

Become Rambo with a bottle of Neem + Soapy water, every other day (at the END of your night cycle) Spray up till the end of week 8, thats what I do, no mites since I saw white spots.

i would give it a go. i sprayed mine at the end of the 1st week. just avoid those pistils the best you can. just be careful, and make sure to get in the nooks and crannies of the leaves.

another important thing is to make sure the heat never goes over 80F. they hate the coolness.

i also removed some of the leaves that i noticed had a lot of eggs on them. i'm now in week 4 and they count when pretty down.

Need help!! Can anyone help me to identify these lil bastards. They aren't on the leaves, but crawling on the soil, and saucers. No webbing, and these are visible to the naked eye

Those are root aphids and they are worse than spider mites. They are vampires to your plant and will devour your root base. They give birth to live young and some adult males will grow wings and move to other plants. you will need to do a soil drench with Azamax for two weeks and also foliar feed for two weeks. They really thrive in over watered soil. Azamax is OMRI listed and will not leave residue and can be used up to the last two weeks of flower before flush. Hope this helps.

If you're a closet grower - look for Hot Shot No Pest Strips - about $8. Took care of my year long mite battle in 2 days.
It looks like an air freshener but is toxic to bugs (not so good for us either, but...).
I put mine in, shut off my HPS, Vent and circulation fans (left the CFLs running to not interupt 12:12). Left it sealed up for 2 days - no peeking!
Come back - turn on the vent first to extract the fumes, then bring everything else up. No more bugs. Take the thing out and seal it back in a bag in case you get reinfested sometime.
