mixing green material with soil

Hey guys I have recently got some seedlings I would like to put outside in a fairly big pot. I have recently added some worms to my soil I dug them directly from my garden. I have read that the worms need a "bedding" such as shredded newspaper or grass clippings, should I mix some grass clippings with the top say 2 - 3 inches of soil for the worms to live in?... I see no problem with it I would just like to see what you guys would have to say about it.

Cheers kwaka

So do you not feed the plants any nutes? I mean through watering? How do the worms survive? Sorry not familiar with worms in the soil of a growing plant.

well im not really that experianced with worms... I was just going to chuck kitchen scraps around the plant and let the worms leave castings?? they are mainly for mother plants so I pretty much wont need to fertilise with anything to hard. Just keep up the water supply and every now and then I may use an oragnic fert. Will my worms survive in a pot with a plant??...

Cheers kwaka
