MMORPGs

What is everyone playing? I have some free time coming up and I want to waste it on an MMORPG. What are you guys playing? I have played EQ EQ2 WOW DDO ect....
I am just wondering if there are any new hot ones out there you guys can recommend. My buddy still play EQ2 and is trying to get me to sign up but I have been down that road a few times. I played EQ1 for a few years too and miss the good ole days. WoW was ok but it was missing something for me. Maybe I should've gave it more time but it seemed too easy, catering to casual players. I thought it would be good but that allowed lots of young kids to play resulting in lots of problems. What do yahs have to say? Should I give WOW another shot or is there a secret sleeper game out there? If it has a trial all the better. I also have a PS3 and Wii and would even consider getting one on a console because then I can talk my brother and a few buddies into playing too. Thanks.

What could WOW be missing? Haha, I'd say my complaint of it would be the opposite, that it's too big and has too much! It's just too easy to play for way too long... and you pretty much have to, to get anywhere. Haven't seen any new ones that interest me except Diablo 3, but they just keep pushing that one back, don't they?

I have been waiting for Diablo 3 too. By the time it gets released it will be outdated. I downloaded a single player rpg called Torchlight and gonna give it a shot. It has something to do with old school Diablo creators and Fate creators or something along them lines. I will give it a try later tonight maybe.

first of all let me say

i love diablo 2, but diablo 2 is not an MMO, as only a certain number of people can be in any 1 game at any one time

my first MMORPG was age of conan

i bought that game on launch day, and picked the class that sounded the most bad ass (dark templar)

i was the first person to the level cap for my class on my server, and low and behold, for the first year of this game, it was the shittiest class in the entire game, PvE AND PvP

i was furious

for now im waiting for Star wars: the old republic

I tried Conan and didn't like it. Maybe I have just outgrown mmorpgs. My brother is trying to get me to buy Little Big Planet so we can play online together. Maybe I should just give in. heh

I will watch for its release. Is it on PC or PS3?

WoW is great. But maybe too great. Maybe I am overwhelmed when I play. I get all hyped up and install it then play for a couple hours then never log in again.

I miss EQ1. It had the best community and I made a few friends that I still talk to online and even met a couple in rl.

LBP is good, it's not like an advanced plot or anything, but quite fun

Got hooked on MMO's with City of Heroes ( I know, its lame! ). Then tried World of Warcraft because of all things, the store had the price mismarked and thought "aah well why not".

That was 6 years ago.

I got a little playstation underground postcard advertising LBP for $29.50 along with a couple other games. They are advertising them as classics collection specials.
