Molassess In Flowering, Need Help

I remember i used to use it when i was flowering but im not exactly sure why. Doesnt it change the taste a little bit. I've heard that it can bulk up buds by about 20 percent though, is that true?

Also I just flushed my plant today and will be chopping it in 2 weeks. If i need more time ill make it 3 weeks depending on trichome color. But my question is should i use it the next time my plant needs to be just regular watered. Would it really make a difference.
When i used it i used it about 4 weeks into flowering, is that about right?

One more thing, do you guys mix molasses with your nutrients or only use it when your giving your plant regular water.

Thanks guys, peace.

the first time i used molasses my buds doubled in size over three days. use molasses or syrup and i use 2 tablespoons of syrup and mix it in a two liter bottle of water then i watered the plant with that. i knew ants and bugs and everything else wasnt a problem most people say a tablespoon in a gallon of water to avoid unwanted pests. but the natural sugars in the syrup or molasses stimulate the micro organisms in the soil and they do something to benefit the plant. some people says it can make taste better but no proof has been shown. i always do it at about 3 weeks flowering then 2 weeks before chopping and i think its awesome

^She already stated, 3 weeks into flowering(12/12), and 2 weeks before they finish. All grows/strains are different, with different finishing timers, so it's impossible to be more accurate than that.

I just wanted to add that although molasses is very sweet, and loaded with sugars, it can't make your smoke taste any sweeter. Plants can't absorb sugar, so any perceived change in taste, is either in your imagination, lol or because the plant happened to be lacking a nutrient that the molasses provided. Molasses is loaded with nutrients, mainly trace nutes, which is why it can give a boost to your plants, used near the end. They were lacking something, which could've been provided by a regular fert, but it just so happened that molasses was used instead. Basically, if your plants already have everything they need, molasses won't do anything at all, because there's no magical substance/s in it, just nutes and sugar, but,...it's not a bad idea to use it, because unless you KNOW your plants are getting everything they need, it's a good way to fill any possible voids. Also, as stated, the sugars are good for the micro-organisms in the soil, so not a bad idea to add a dose, earlier in the grow, to make sure the sugars have time to break down and become useable. If you only use it during the last week or two, all the sugars really do, is make your soil sticky, lol 'cause they haven't been there long enough to have any real benefit.

try advance nutrients bud candy in place of molases for the first 6 weeks of flowering. i have had really good results with it in place of using molases. plus mothers molases jars fucking hurt when they fall of the table on to your toe, long story.

Dont use too much or your buds will end up smelling and tasting like molasses (not too sought after amongst heads). I pulled that bone head move many years back.

I recommend using Botanicare's Sweet. Or try using powdered sugar. It breaks down in the soil and does not hinder the plants original taste or smell in any way. But with the same results.

blackstrap molasses contains trace amounts of nutes (1-0-5) along with sulfur iron magnesium and is an excellent chelating agent, powdered sugar wouldnt do the same thing cuz its only sugar. if you want info on molasses look up the 3 little birds and molasses

im pretty sure Molasses will take about 6 weeks to break down ,
Seriously have to doubt that. Microbes in the soil will begin to metabolize the carbohydrates in blackstrap in a relatively short amount of time.

It doesn't matter how much molasses you use; your bud isn't going to taste like molasses. You shouldn't use too much in the last couple weeks though because the nutrients in molasses might contribute to harsh smoke. Plant rootss really don't absorb much sucrose, limited amounts (although they do also exude sucrose and other carbs).
