Mold on the cola

Noticed a little mold on the cola of one after drying was complete. I cut it out and threw it away. Thinking if I would not have left the entire colo intact it would not have happen. No big deal cause it was just a little bit.

What benifit other than looking at this huge bud do I get by keeping the colo together during the drying stage? Opinions please.:leaf:

slower drying smoother smoke.

More air circulation and a lower RH will help in drying.

You ever seen my drying box design?

Mine works on the same theory J but I'm using shelfs, using my inline fan and a tupperware container. Trying to keep it on a smaller scale. Box is about 18" high, 17" wide and about 18" long. I have 2.5" hose drawing air from the top of the box with holes drilled in the bottom on the opposite side. The box sits on the top shelf in the room. That would be the best air to use for humuidty...I guess. I can adjust the amount of air being drawn through the dry box with the gate. First use on this thing so it may be just a matter of getting it dialed in.

See the point about improving the smoke. Always value your opinion Bro.

Great New Year to you and yours.
