mold

OMG, I have a sour diesel that I was going to harvest in 4 days. I just examined a bud and found a hole. I found mold on the stem? I applied Actinovate to ground soil and sprayed for PM with Serenade one week ago for the start of PM. What do I do, this is a large, beautiful plant....

I'm with you V - I'm in 4th week of flower on a mammoth 8 Miles High plant, and I've been spraying her with Green Cure (bicarbonate powder dissolvable in water) for 5 weeks. The powder comes back minimally on giant fan leaves (especially lower and inner, where airflow is poor), but I have yet to see it hit my buds. The only unfortunate thing is that my girl isn't too photogenic anymore because the Green Cure browns the pistils. Anyway, thought I'd commiserate and offer my current approach.

Good luck!

Spray the molded bud with a mixture of about 20% hydrogen peroxide, it will kill the mold and stop it from spreading.

a 10:1 water milk spray seems to work great to stop rot as well and can be done up til harvest. Peroxide will probably work well too but I'm not sure about using it up til harvest. Good luck

You might want to spread the bud open and get a good look inside the bud if u found a hole.
9 times out of 10 if u find both a hole and mold you've got some kind of insect inside the bud. The mold is usually caused by where the insect deficates.
Just a thought.

The 2 main culprits are budworms and caterpillars which are both running rampant this year. Lots of people having issues with them.
They both can wipe out a crop extremely fast
