Moon Rock Oil

Hi all, I was just making some moon rocks. But I ran into a little problem with the oil. I used the RSO process which went ok. However, before I could coat the buds the oil stiffened up on me. I wanted to know how do I prevent that from happening? Or do I need to add something and if so, what?
I used Everclear for the extraction on a hot plate

I am indeed. Though when you say the RSO method, you are not saying the concentrate has any coconut oil or anything, correct? I’m assuming you used 190 proof Everclear and heated off the alcohol. As long as that is your finished product, then simply heat it up and it will absolutely liquify, as well as help eliminate some of the alcohol that remains in your product as without using a vacuum to purge, you will not be able to completely rid your product of ethanol.

I did not use anything other than the everclear. The Everclear cooked off and the concentrate became hard. I removed it from the heat thinking it will continue to become a solid which it did. I will try putting it back on the heat to liquify.
I do have a vacuum pump
Do you know anything about making good clean wax?

It should melt above around 115F and be like a syrup.

As a note, the buds that we coated ended up extremely harsh to smoke. I've found concentrates are best vaporized instead of combusting.

If Ethanol is your solvent of choice, may I suggest the QWET process for a good clean concentrate?
