Section A of what you are referring to is why there is a difference, its more clear cut than the ones i linked regarding doing something knowingly and with intent. Trump was very clear that he knowingly took them and planned to retain them, based on his own words. The other guys were like "woops, forgot to bring back the library book, here you go!"

That's really kinda it. There isn't much further discussion to be had. I don't think anything will happen to trump over it. However, trump clearly broke the law where the other guys clearly did not, based on the language of the law.

^This pretty much should be the end the debate. Anybody pressing a point that Biden somehow committed a criminal act is just pointlessly arguing for argument's sake.

Why is this thread not locked like all the other ones that degraded into a megaphone for people who are just being stubborn?

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been around in a week. Was in hospital. My apologies for starting thread and not being around to participate. But I do see that there was some good debate that I missed. And I must admit I was wrong about what Biden doing being a crime. I did a lot of research while I was laid up in hospital and I hate to admit it but being in possession of classified documents and even improperly storing them is not a crime. The case law I read was very specific on what can be deemed a crime. Although my personal opinion is that I think it should be a crime to mishandle classified documents it is not. So I humbly admit that I was wrong and some of the guys on here were right. Damn I hate being wrong.

Well I hope you are on the mend and are done with the hospital. Respect admitting to being wrong, lots of people would just double down or disappear, so good on ya!
