more cold = more yield?

hey I was told something today and I wanted to varify it by a few of you experienced growers, and anybody that might've tested this before. I heard that the colder you keep the climate (above freezing) the more resin the females put out because they're trying to keep warm. Any details reguarding this? Perhaps they were off on the facts a little but pretty close? Preciate any feedback, thanks gurus!

from what I know it's more a matter of UV exposure not temp... however I would say that a plant in a dry warm atmosphere would create the necessity for more resin to prevent dehydration.

i have heard that lower temps = higher % of Thc....and more resin
i think this is true.
i dont think that lower temps will up your yeild at all though.

Man, the dumb things you can read in a forum? If the temperature is to low, like below 60 degrees the plants will pretty much shut down everything just to try and stay alive till it warms up. VV

too cold they will shut down like victor said.

did anyone say anything about letting the temp go below 60 ??

obviously stay in the temp range that plants grow in....just grow it in the cooler temps.

right right I got ya! And yeah that's what i meant, more resin and THC, not more yield hah, my bad (wrong wording). Also I was wondering if anyone here has tried that little trick where you don't let light touch your plants for two whole days before you harvest, its supposed to think its dieing and expunge all of its THC and resin.

I've seen a lot of people say this but no testimony's.
i'll try this, im close to my harvest so i can get first hand results! I was planning on doing it anyways
but it probably wont be till next wednesday i need to have that area cleaned up by next saturday.

AWESOME, yes DEFINATELY let me know if that works. Appariently you just turn off all the lights, close the door and two days later you come back and its supposed to be covered in crystally trichomes and resin.

yea, i have heard of that before. i really hope it works because i was also planning on doing that.
but i think i read on a thread on here recently, that it doesnt make a difference if you keep the light off....i hope the person was wrong tho.

Well, on the other hand, when it does give off the rest of its resin, its already gonna be so covered in resin and trichomes that it'd probably be hard to tell... Well whatever happens man just let me know.
