Sammy has some new interesting mid powers coming soon. We are gonna have exclusivity for a bit. Lots of changes in these new LEDs. We will have sample reels in Dec and will be conducting a 4 way side by side . We will be installing cables and curtains to keep them separated. We do a very short veg so plant structure differences from different spectrum/LEDs will be apparent. We will also post lab test results of total cannabinoid breakdowns as well. Not quite as good growing hemp but it will give us a lot of data needed to help choose our path going forward.

They work..... Also try solacure. The owner is a stand up guy and everyone I recommended them to swears by them.
I think that's awesome you're talking about other brands too, and I've thought about buying the UV light you guys sell. @Doug Dawson has one on his 600, and I'm awaiting the results.

Do you think the T5 style can compare to your LED version?

I just know regular T5's grow bulbs can't penetrate very far.

Thanks Stephen.

You guys are lucky to have such a great relationship with Samsung. "Lucky" probably isn't the right word, as I know you've worked hard with them and they have had the foresight to run with you guys. Nichia has been good to us – we always get good bins and great service – but they just don't seem to be taking horticulture as seriously as Samsung – they simply can't "see the light". I guess we're also not big enough to have any influence – we've tried :-(

Seoul Semiconductor has been a nightmare to deal with, so one of the good things about the new boards is we don't have to buy anymore LEDs from them, haha!

These are really powerful. They are actually T8 bulbs. They have built in reflectors as well. Really great products. Our UVA bars work quite well. If you are looking for UVB florescent is still your best bet.

I actually just wanted to get my buds a little frostier. I think my CMH buds had more frost, but my QB's grow denser buds. I like to mix CMH with QB's, but I was thinking if I just add some UV I might get back to the same amount of crystals without needings the CMH.

It could just be that I'm doing stuff a little different now too. My humidity has also been a lot lower lately so that might be it too. And I'm trying no-till so it could be nutrients too.

I was thinking the UVA would be plenty, but I don't know.

Anyways, thanks for the response Stephen.

Yeah Seoul is a bit strange to deal with it seems. Their numbers are in the upper ranks and definitely worth a look. Nichia makes some fine LEDs. Just seem costly. They have been after us for a while as has Seoul and others. I can say Nichia will regret not looking into Horticulture one federal legalization happens. It's my prediction that when it happens all led suppliers will be high demand. The grid just can't handle the LEDs let alone any type of HID in mass build out.

Give the solacure a shot. You will not be disappointed. The UVA bars work well but we won't have stock for a bit more.

I only run those for a few hours a day correct, or can I run them 12/12 like the rest of my lights?

Thanks again.
Just a few hrs a day. They are super powerful. Dennis Brown the owner has lots of data on how long to run them. He has different bulbs with different recommended run times. Shoot him an email. He's a really good guy.

Hi Stephen, so you guys have had good results from the UVA bars? I looked at the Solacure but ended up buying the HLG UV bar to mount to my 600 Rspec instead. Really just so I could stick with the HLG brand. What have you noticed when using them? They are meant to be run the whole 12/12 light period, correct?
