Just my two cents, but rather thanadd the 400 watt HPS, just switch it out when you are ready to flower

For your space 400 watt should be more than enough

Adding that extra bulb will add more heat

try a 1000hps... if you can deal with the heat (by venting the light & A/C) you will reap the rewards....

for clsets the brightest reflector on the market is perfect for closet grows... the sun system super sun II.

more watts per square foot = more weight

You will yield more with evry light you add but in a cabinet you must have good ventilation and the plants will grow taller with extra light so you may need to do something about that so you dont outgrow your growspace.

I wouldnt go with a 1000watt light, I would much prefer two 400s or better yet two 600s and they will give better results than any 1000watta IMO

Its a somewhat fine line when ur talkin puttin over a 1000w of light in a lil ole closet. Like GS was sayin, if u can control the HEAT, then ur in there. Heat can become a big issue with hid's, but it doesn't have to be.

I have a vent fan that has it will move the air in a 200 ft. room in 2 mins. and i have a second 1 that I,m not using right now but can use if need to or should I look into hooking up co2 to get more nugs?

2x600s is good as long as you're up for paying for the extra gear... keep the lights right on the canopy level.
I like 1ks but thats also what I was taught to grow with by my mentor in Ukiah.... better trees with 1ks. SOGs are more 600 friendly

Thats one of the things I like about growing, there is no set method and you can try different things. Everyone has different methods and opinions on how to grow but it basically comes down to what works for you.

I have never used co2 before but I will be trying it next time round coz I want to see if it makes much difference. It will have to make a noticable difference for me to continue to use it coz thats just another thing that will be runnuing in the room and my power bill is enough as it is lol.

just interjecting on CO2 - best results will be found once the room & strain is dialed... then the benefits of CO2 will be obvious.
a friend of mine says he will never go without gas.....

Neither, I grow in coco

Two 400s will mean more light getting through to your plants so it will really help to increase yield.
