I would watch Gi joe and transformers and munch out on cereal
the good old days!

just a quick update. repotted the white russian, lowryder 2, and skunks today. the 2 hashberrys have broken the soil and have joined the others under my 125w lamp. the black rose seed has refused to germinate. i first placed it in water for about 20hrs, then popped her in a jiffy 7. after a few days of nothingness, i carefully inspected her. not a thing. so now ive popped her in a damp paper towel..

the white russian now seems to be growing a set of 3 fan leaves, rather than the standard two. ive generally found in my own grows that mutants=males, but we shall wait and see... other than that, all is well!

for some reason i cant post any pics right now, but theres not really that much to see tbh..

best regards all!

Heya Morpster

Sounds like one of your WR's may be a trifoliate or Whorled Phyllotaxy plant - has three leaves at each node instead of two. The good news is, if it turns out female they should produce a better yield. The bad news is, about 70% of WP's turn out male.

I had a WP from a female clone last grow - it reverted to standard after about the 5th or 6th node.

Regarding the BR not germing - try gently scoring the edge of the two seed halves and soaking it in some water with some seaweed extract - 1-2 mil per litre for 24 hours in a warm place, keep it in the dark.

Rest look good.

cheers babygro, welcome back! im reluctant to clear the wr aside (despite its probable manliness) for a fresh seed as its the last of my first ever pack of seeds from 5 years ago. nostalgia and all that. just found them floating around in my cupboard.. wr seeds are so fuckin expensive im not paying for them again!

ill take your advice with the br seed and get on that tomorrow. if its viable (and it should be) then im gonna make him crack

i topped the white russian and one of the skunks (the one i planned on keeping) a couple of days ago...

today, i think ive spotted a tiny male preflower on the white russian, following a slightly savage topping.
the black rose seed just wouldnt germinate. eventually i gave it a little squeeze and white puss oozed out.. argh!

i will keep my eye on the wr over the next week, and if its male, then ill plant him outside probably.

for now, i am keeping the 2 skunks, the white russian, the lowryder 2 and the 2 hashberrys.. the black rose will just have to wait, i dont have time in my schedule to hang around to germ a seed which might not even sprout... if the wr turns male, then i may consider sticking a br in then, but itll be pretty much on 12/12 from seed i guess..

anyways, all plants seem healthy, slight discolouring of lowest leaves which always seems to happen to me.. ill post some pics soon and we can analyse together..

cheers chaps!

ok, a little update. i will be flowering in a week i reckon, around the 20th.

here are pics of the two skunks. one i topped, the other i left as i found her, as i thought i was getting rid..

the first 2 pics are of the untopped skunk, the second 2 are of the topped skunk.

they both appear to be healthy. the leaves are curled up somewhat, indicating a heat problem. however, the ambient temp of my closet never rises above 85f. so i just dont know. normally temp is in mid 70s..

also, if you can see by the pics, a couple of the lower leaves show patches of yellowing in a manner similar to ive seen before.. any ideas appreciated.

next, we have the white russian. dont laugh at her, she's quite shy.

when i 'topped' her, i tried to combine the fim and topping technique, using nail clippers to cut the top of her new leaves away just as they were developing. this is the result.

the new growth shoots have really taken off, but she looks a little deformed (again). will be interesting in a week or so...

again, you can see in the pic, the bottom 3 bladed leaves are yellowing...

my poop might balance itself out morp ?!
??

noticed a few very small little fly things in my room last night, zipping around and running about the leaves. doesnt seem to be many, but id say around 5.. dont know what they are or what theyre doing there but im not too hospitable. going to spray my plants with a seaweed based foliar spray when my lights go off (just less than 24 hours) i dont want to intrude now...

looked for similar pests on the problem pages but cant seem to find anything. hopefully theyre just lost.

i also noticed that the skunks and white russian have begun their flowering stretch, slowly, after just a couple of days. the untopped skunk is also showing traces of preflowers, too early to tell yet but ill whack some pics up in a couple of days..

good growing to yous!

just fed the plants with a seaweed based foliar spray. no sign of the little fly things when i checked last night, and couldnt see any this morning. hopefully theyve moved on to greener pastures..

meanwhile, the skunks, especially the untopped skunk, is growing (stretch) quite fast.. i have also noticed tiny flowers on the untopped skunk which look suspiciously male to me. wont take any action yet until im sure, but fucksake.

1st pic is of the untopped skunk
2nd pic is of the topped skunk
3rd pic is of the group

ps. think ill probs repot the hashberrys today into the next size up.. once ive got all the plants sexed, then ill repot them into their final pots. should be able to fit 4 big wilma pots in there..

ok.. the untopped skunk was a confirmed male so has been relocated to my yard. the white russian, although decieving me for a while, is also a male.

the topped skunk is a female. the strongest of my hashberrys is also a confirmed female.. this hashberry has a very thick stem for its size and (despite a bit of recent leaf discolouration) is looking very promising. the other, problematic hashberry has not been sexed yet, but she doesnt look too good. all yellow and crinkly. ever since she sprouted she was very yellow and troubled. alas! at least the fine hashberry is a female.

hashberrys had their first feed today. 1ml biobizz bloom with 2ml biobizz topmax per 1 litre. i was meant to of recieved my 250w hps by now in a trade with another forum user, but unfortunately he has backed down. i have ordered a 250w hps unit but it wont arrive until next week i doubt. ar! for now then, i chug on with the 250w cfl..

enclosed are a couple of pics:

1st is the fem plants: hashberry top left, lr2 bottom left, skunk on right
2nd is just a little bud shot from my lr2, comin on okay.

PS. anyone interested in buying/exchanging for my 400w hps? used once only...

hey budsmoker, i dont use biobizz grow.. i use advanced nutrients sensi a & b. dont ask me why, i got it cheap and feel i should use it all. i can never gauge the right measure though it seems, always get some sort of burn/defficiency. for the hashberrry though, ive heard that they need very little nutes, and most people dont tend to use nutes till the flowering stage, so thats what ive done..

plan to repot the hashberry and skunk tomorrow into their final pots. woop

good growing to all of you!
