In a 4x4 tent you'll need like only 250watts. Just use an LRS-200-48 LRS-200-36 driver and have it outside the tent. IM NOT POSITIVE if This driver will work because those strips are 39V but going to post the data sheets so someone smart can tell you if it will work or not I think if you run them at 1400ma and heatsink them, you can get the voltage high enough for the 48V driver. OR POSSIBLY run them LOW ENOUGH to get them within the 36V drivers specs. Well have to see what the good people say. Then we can figure out how many strips you'll need.

In 4' length EB gen2 is about the only cheap strip available period.

So ya, use the LRS-200-36 and 7-8 strips and you shouldn't even need heatsinks.

for the connection I have to go in parallel right?

Been looking over the data sheets on these gen 3. First of all major discount on 100qty orders from digikey. But it kinda sucks these strips are full 1190mm? I mean that's over 47" still and would make putting them in a frame and hanging in a 4x4, a bit tight don't you think?

The LRS Driver isn't DIMMABLE, but if it's a veg tent, you don't let moms get too tall anyways, so just raise the light to "dim".

They'd be killer in a 4x8 tent though. 4' em gen 3s are the perfect strip for a 5x5 builds these things can blast out 65-70 watts each with heatsink USA's cheapest heatsink profile at $4.50 for each 49" piece.

Those are 13.5" long so if you build 3 fixtures all on their own Lrs-75-36 and use 8 eh again, you'll have 3 very nice neat little fixtures you can Co trolled the hanging heights a lot better with. Definitely go that route instead. Plus you get 225 watts total this way.
Or use 10 strips and use an LRS-100-36 per fixture.

Oohhh you could probably make a simple little clone light using one 13.5" strip and a 1amp 12v wall wart which we all have plenty of laying around..
if your get 30 of them and contact digikey via chat you can get the Gen3 for $9.5 which is much more reasonable.

But he's gonna use the 13.5" strips not the 47" ones. 10qty discount is $6. 100qty discount is for $4.20

Because that's a pretty large price break from $180 down to $126.So I sent an E-mail to bridgelux and was quoted an ex-factory price from Hong Kong which I then used to ask for a lower price via chat and this is what was offered and quoted. The only reason I went to Digikey was that the factory had a MOQ of 100 units.
