Mother plant care questions

Well first off, if anyone has any links to a good mother plant guideline site would be awesome. I can't find any sites that answer my questions. which are:

1. Do you still feed the mother plant nutes? I've heard that you only give the plant half feedings of Nitrogen, but thats all i've heard about nutes really. Is that true?

2. Is it wise to trim off the big fan leaves? I've read mixed views, some say it's smart to let light penetrate through and get better airflow. I've also heard, that it's not smart because the big fan leaves are feeding the plant, which is true, however branches look wimpy and and droopy, watering is not an issue, I've got that pegged down, it's only been since I've moved it to its box. (Check out journal for more info on that)

3. How many clones can you cut off the mother plant before you are in danger of throwing the mother plant into shock?

Any help on these questions would be great and thanks in advance guys

yes you still need to give it some nutes sometimes, no do not clip off fan leaves, to get a good mother going what I do is veg for a very long time like 3 months then I cut all the branches from the bottom 5 or 6 inches leaving like only 4 to 5 nodes - strain dependent this is like 10 to 30 clones or more....I then will flower my mother a few weeks after this and make the new clones as new mom(s)...I also take clones from the bottom of pretty much any plant that is 2 months or older.
