i'd recommend you put a thermometer in there and close her up to get an idea how hot she gets in there before you put your plants in, CFLs can get hotter than you think.

...another option for pc growing is PLLs which are a newer form of remote ballasted CFL and because the ballast is remoted most of the heat is also remoted, lol.

here's a couple of shots of my clonebox to show what they look like and you'll notice that they are also straight rather than twisty so more efficient than standard CFLs, ...mine are 55watters so approx. 23 inchs long, the lower the wattage the shorter the bulb so i'm sure you could find some that would fit.

...and a shot of the back to show where i located the ballast.

are these ladies dead? :( so heres the story i put them in the rockwool when they looked like this. about 4 and a half days later i started to think nothing was happening and i was right they look the same as when i first put them in the rockwool i just placed the seeds back in water any hope?? I started them in reg tap water then put them in rockwool that was in water with a ph of 5.5, had them in a container on a heating pad the cubes did get knocked over once.

...it's always a good idea to learn your chops on free bagseed bro, ...i personally popped 30 beans my first time out and i managed to kill them all within 2 weeks, so i popped 30 more and even then only 5 survived my ineptitude, ...fortunately for me 4 of those 5 turned out to be females so i grew those plants for nearly a year before investing any money on beans, by then i was already an accomplished cloner with enough confidence in my skills to be willing to take a stab at store-bought genetics.

...and i'm not suggesting you wait a year before you pop your new beans, just that maybe you should start popping free beans and wait until you are reasonably sure you can keep them alive before you roll the dice again with paid for beans.
