i have to boil my popcorn that has been soaking for two days now...

good luck! hope that keeps going well for you.

No room for slacking Tommyo lol. good luck with the popcorn looking forward to your outcome.

Another week shit will be wide open and the workload will triple but its well worth it.

Yes sir, not my first rodeo.

Since this is your first time....you should S T R E T C H that spore syringe as far as you can.

One syringe can yield a LOT.

When I get a syringe, I inoculate 8-10 pints of liquid culture

(made from corn syrup and water). Assuming that my sterile technique is

good and the syringe is not contaminated, every single LC will colonize over the next 2 weeks.

Once there's nice robust mycelium growth in the LC's, I use those to inoculate grain jars/popcorn/BRF.

If you ever need to S L O W the growth in your jar,,,put it in the fridge and it will be good for

a bit.

Hey buddy..
i have 4X 10cc b+
and 2X hawaiin cubes spores

I think the PC fits 7 quart jars.. was gonna sterilize 6 popcorns and do 1 quart LC and then repeat this a couple of times so that I 12 jars have like 12 jars of B+ corn and one quart of b+ Liquid Culture and also 12 jars of Hawaiian and one quart of LC.

Is this strategy ok? I have LOTS of quart jars at my disposal and no small ones (yet)..

thank a million

I wouldn't do your popcorn and LC at the same time.

LC's only need about 20Mins @ 15psi or it will get all thick and carmely <spelling oh well..

But I see that you have no shortage of syringes lol. Man you could have saved the hell out of money.

1 syringe is enough to grow boomers for months. But no biggie to have those laying around. They will last forever pretty much

if kept in a dark cool place like a sock drawer or such.

Quart jars are all good for grains but if you ever try Brown rice or any kinda cake you will want smaller WIDE mouth jars

to be able to get your cake outta the jar to fruit it.

Oh yes, I would have remembered that about the LC... Maybe I should make 6 lc jars.. LOL..

I planned on being VERY bored this winter and i have a lot of elbow room at my compound.....

I plan on doing 1/4 acre of azurescens in my woods next year... those are the strongest mushrooms and they grow on wood outside... but you know about them, I am sure. They are indigenous to your area.

LOL 6 LC's could do about 600 jars ha ha ha.

Best of luck to you on the 1/4 acre, I have grown a few wood loving strains in the past but only edibles "shiitake, Lions mane ect.."! have never found

any azurescens in the wild but haven't ever really searched hard because I could do the same thing in my home.

I have recently started to get into searching the fields and hills for different species of fungi, but only for fun to pass time unless

we are out under the moon finding fat patty cubes.

is there a difference in street mush compared to home grown? I've tried mushrooms from the streets (literally found a dealer at the local weed selling spot who knew someone who had some) but I'm buying from a mail order website and am wondering if the techniques etc could produce higher potency mushrooms. They don't seem to require very much light, but maybe using manure instead of brown rice flower would increase potency or something

Using Manure would produce many more pin sets/ mushrooms in the end.

But BRF Cakes will grow plenty enough for you I promise.

Potency has alot to do with how you handle them after you pluck 'em.

to dry them out you dont wanna use heat, it breaks down the Psilocybin.

I dry my with a dehydrator that i have cut the wire to the heater so it just blows air.

Other than that Strain is your main potency factor or diff in Trip.

Don't bullshit now. Growing psilocybe cubensis, strain has nothing whatsoever to do with the potency. B+ mushrooms are going to give you no different a trip then Golden Teachers or Brazilian.

Hey to some people a more visual trip is a more potent trip

and diff strains give diff trips

So you are saying that no matter what mushroom you grow, All trip are the same!!!

If so, I disagree... eat more mushrooms and you will notice different types of trips

I guess I lied. There are differences. None real major though that should influence your decision on what spores to buy.

The Truth About Different Types of Cubes:
Most cubes look alike.
All cubes grow in the same conditions.
The differences between cube races, varieties or 'Strains' are, more often than not, minute.
Some races are known for fast colonization, or large fruits... even high potency.
BUT... these 'Facts' are often just vendor hype.
Your results will most likely vary.

The Truth About Cube Potency:
If you want something that is very potent, you should probably try a different species and avoid cubes all together... either that, or eat more cubes. Agar will potentially allow you to select a more potent substrain. A few cube races and varieties are reported as being more potent than others... but there is no scientific evidence to strengthen the potency argument. Everybody wants the answer to this question... but all we have is opinion. Most people agree there are differences in potency from one type of cubensis to another... but they seldom agree on which cube is the most (or least) potent.

The Truth About The Fastest Growing Cubes:
Some cube races and varieties are known to grow at a faster or slower rate, on average, than others. There is evidence which suggests the fastest cubensis races produce the smallest shrooms and the slower races and varieties produce the most bulky fungus. Ultimately it all seems to even out in the end (with a few exceptions). Also, the slow cubes more frequently display unique macroscopic characteristics (in other words, they are more likely to look noticeably different from other races) while the fast ones usually look like average (or smaller than average) cubes. It tends to take more time to grow a large or unique cube. If you are looking for a cube which produces a LOT of quick bulk, you may be looking for a long time... and you'd better work with agar.

The Truth About Bulk:
Race, variety or 'Strain' has little to do with bulk. With some work, any viable cube print should produce good flushes. Good isolation on agar, and good fruiting conditions are the only proven ways to get consistently bulky flushes. There are no quick and easy solutions. If you want bulk, first you are going to need diligent patience.

The Truth About Selecting Your Spores:
The thing that distinguishes most races, varieties or 'strains' is where they originated and who collected the first specimen. If you are interested in Tasmania, try some Tasmanian spores. If you like the story of how SG30 was resurrected by Shdwstr, try SG30. If you think Penis Envy looks fun, try it. They are all cubes. Pick one that interests you, and see if you like working with it.
