Hey everyone!

So my Mom told me to play music for my babies, telling me they will grow with the music lol

Since then, I actually leave the radio on pretty much 24/7 for them lol

Although I have no real evidence I’m going to agree with mom!

So am I the only one who leaves the music on for their plants? Lol

I get about an 1/3rd? extra growth on germers, once all is even but I only use in the winter as bird song
keeps the babes until until then

good luck

ps a few same threads on this site say hi to ur mom!

It sounds kinda logical to me. I don't think it has anything with the sound itself, but the vibrations and air movement they create. I don't think it would make a huge difference, but I would think the more bass the better for more vibrations. I say go for it.

The mythbusters episode @vostok referred to showed metal works best. I suggest Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, or Belphegor! Belphegor has the best songtitle/album name ever, Bondage Goat Zombie!
Donno about that Bud it was Classics that won the bet from what I saw
also theirs much on this music for plants on YT too
this is very popular but got Ads..?
Using binaural beats and isochronic tones that flow up and down 0.5Hz to 7.83Hz, these are associated with good vibrations, offers balance and stress relief, relaxation, stimulations for growth, peace and tranquility and harmony. The soothing music combined with the brainwave entrainments was created for your plants, your home and yourself, to achieve the essences of being calm and in touch with the energies all around. The carrier frequency used is of the Sun, which promotes light, warmth, and centering. May this music bring you closer to nature. Useful for daily meditations and relaxation, and listen through stereo speakers. Brainwave Power Music dedicates ourselves to creating original sound therapy music, using unique Musical Compositions, Binaural Beats and Isochronic Tones as our primary sound elements mixed with different instruments and soundscapes to create a relaxed audio environment. Classical indian music works best. Some music including most of what us modern humans listen to actually does more harm than good. If you ignore the words and just focus on the sound of the music you'll be able to feel for yourself how much it shocks your senses. Close your eyes and try to empty your mind, I know mythbusters said metal worked best but they did not analyze any aspects of the plant at all, they just saw it grew more during veg but the plants were clearly stressed and definitely would not flower very well. They didn't flower it for that test .. I forget where I got the Intel that classical Indian music works best but I'm very confident that I find this to be true. Just my opinion but I know I was very curious years ago and did tons of research and remember finding the conclusion that classical Indian music is for sure the way to go. Not incredibly pleasant to listen to but it actually does help me relax and fall asleep at night and the ladies seemed to be very happy and healthy.

I just watched that and it sure sounded like they said Metal was best. Thanks for the link Vostok.

Metal would make sense. Lots of bass and really fast waves, so more air movement. At least that's what I would think.
Sound waves do not equal air movement lol it's just sporatic noise that stresses the plants forcing them to essentially just stretch out.. Larger plants does not mean more growth spots, I could see them creating more thc due to stress but I honestly don't think that's how it works

Glad you posted the link Vostok . You can tell how inaccurate this test is based on how unsure they all seem. I like mythbusters but this was hardly a fully controlled test and the result was only plausible, stating essentially that sound itself makes a difference could not pinpoint what sounds work best

Sound only travels through air bud, in space you can't clap.

I should have said faster beat, not faster waves. Speakers push and pull air. They also create vibration which would help the plants leaves to jiggle a little, which is a good thing. Get near a subwoofer, and you'll know what I'm talking about.

No doubt, I spoke too soon, but those vibrations although increasing airflow can definitely be either good or bad depending on the frequency. Someone mentioned binaural but those are for humans using headphones which have different frequency going to each ear with certain cause and effect. Same concept for plants but they don't have 2 ears or a brain, the type of vibrations they get makes an impact. Constant, sporatic, high, low, it all comes into play

. The authors reported that optimum plant growth occurred when the plant was exposed to pure tone sound in which the wavelength coincided with the average of major leaf dimensions. The plant growth was decreased when exposed to random noise (Collins and Foreman, 2001).

... In the last few decades, there have been an increasing number of studies dealing with the emission and perception of sound by plants both in audio acoustic (10–240 Hz) and ultrasonic ranges (20–300 kHz) (Laschimke et al. 2006; Gagliano et al. 2012a; Gagliano 2013)

... As a further refinement, several researchers have started using SVs of variable single frequencies. Collins and Foreman (2001) applied different frequencies (500, 5000, 6000, 12 000, 14 000 Hz) of SV with the same pressure level (91-94 decibel, dB) to common beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) and impatiens (Impatiens sp.) and noted frequency-specific responses. Although growth was enhanced in both cases, beans showed maximum growth at 5000 Hz whereas impatiens responded best at 12 000 Hz. Similar results were found in Chinese cabbage and cucumber

... Sound and US, which plants perceive as an external mechanical force or as an abiotic stressor, can modify growth and development as a way to adjust to their environment, including the effect of US with low frequency (≤ 60 kHz) in seed germination (Creath and Schwartz 2004), seedling and plant growth (Collins and Foreman 2001;Qi et al. 2010)

They need photosynthesis not pseudoscience
Native peoples the world over pioneered the use of cannabis, psylocibin, mescaline, ayahuasca and lesser known intoxicants and hallucinogens, and EVERYTHING we’ve learned about these substances is pseudo science! To take a hard mental line, insisting upon science sounds counterintuitive to our drugs’ larger, intrinsic message and lessons. They are called magic mushrooms, not scientifically proven to alter brain chemistry mushrooms. Open your heart sir not just your mind, and you’ll find it very rewarding. In fact, it’s magical!
