My 1st attempt

Hello, this is my first attempt at growing marijuana. I am growing indoors with the following setup: 5'x5'X7' grow tent, 600w HPS light w/ air cooled hood, carbon filter pulling air through hood and out of room, inline fan pulling fresh air from outside into the tent, and fan inside to circulate air.

For my first attempt I chose to grow in a mix of coco coir and vermiculite 60/40 ratio in 3 gallon cloth pots. I placed in the pots in a tub to catch any excess run of water. For nutrients i placed a 50 gallon drum in the room and filled with water (ph 5.5) and am using Fox Farms Hydro nutrients per the feeding schedule that Fox Farms recommends with the addition of Cal-Magic (calcium supplement).

My plants were grown for seeds which are Nirvana Seeds Feminized Auto Flower Norther Lights.

I germinated 5 seeds and planted in the soilless mix on June 9, 2015 and ran the lights on a 20/4 on/off schedule and my nutrients were on a drip schedule at a rate of .25 gallons per day. Due to my own fault I killed three plants. The remaining two plants were growing healthy. I had to go out of town for all of weeks 2 and 3. I had someone else check on my grow daily. when I returned home to discover that one plant was growing rapidly and the other was not. The big plan was approximately 18" tall and the other plant was only 6" tall. I discovered that the smaller's plants drip line was clogged and it was receiving only about a quarter of the nutrients the other plant was.

The drip lines were fixed and each week I adjusted the rate at which water is applied. Now I am week 6 and both plants appear healthy. There is still a noticeable size different and the larger plant has significantly more flowers on it. My issue is that as the larger plant began to flower it began to turn yellow (the discoloration was noticed on June 14, 2016). The plant was turning yellow at the flowers and spreading outward onto the leaves. Other than the discoloration the plant appeared healthy. Upon a check of the runoff nutrients I discovered the ph was was approximately 7. I immediately drained all the runoff nutrients from the reservoir and completed a flush using ph balanced water at a ph of 5.5. I then adjusted the ph of the nutrient reservoir to ph 5.5.

I currently have my water scheduled at a rate of .25 gallons every 6 hours.

Any suggestion on why the flowers turned yellow and how to fix the issue and prevent it in the future. As a side not I started my second grow attempt, planting my seeds on June 15, 2017. My second attempt is a DWC grow in 3 gallons buckets. I will start a second thread for that grow to learn as I go .

Thank you

CORRECTION:
Bulbs.jpg

I am currently running a MH Conversion 600 Watt bulb. I do also have a 600 watt Super HPS bulb available. Correct me if I am wrong, but from my research most people suggest to use the MH Conversion bulb for the entirety of the auto flower grow. There is no need to switch to the Super HPS bulb. Attached is a picture of the bulbs (Ignore the 400 watt label, my bulbs are rated for 600 watts).

I'm not a hydro grower. Lots of info. I don't see mention of your water and nutrient mix e/c or ppm's. They are gonna want that.

You have a micro nutrient problem.
Looks like Iron and/or Sulfur.....

Use an appropriate supplement. Kelp extract would be an ok place to start.
