I'm bout to start a grow journal I'm on day 3. I'm on 24/0 right now I don't know how long to keep doing this and when to start newts. I'm going to have some pics on soon.I got 2 23 watt warm white CFLs and 2 15 watt flourescent tubes designed for undercabinet lighting(because they plug into the wall) and replaced each of them. One is a natural sunlight one and one plant and aquarium. All are within 2 inches.I also don't know what newts to use and when I'm gonna need more light. The bagseed I used had giant potent buds.I have 2 in a cut in half 2 liter I'm gonna pull the weaker one and another in a separate 2 liter right next to it its just now sprouting. Both are planted in miracle grow potting mix I heard I need extra nitrogen and I'm gonna add perlite when I transplant if necesary. I wanna keep this grow short prolly flower around 12 inches and maybe put back in veg. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys please help a newb out!!!

yes u induce the 12/12 period wen u wish the floweing period to begin, general rule is plants can become 2-3 times bigger in the end of flowering than they were at the beginning of it so use that to work out wen ya wana flower depending on ur height restrictions. check my journal for some tips and knowledge if you want too. good luck and happ growing

I was also thinking about getting a 125 hps for flowering/late growth would this be enough if I flowered after 3 weeks I heard is the earliest u can flower

i wasnt sure which link to use to get the direct image so i guess this will do for now. i removed the taller plant cuz it looked more stretched out so i have one in each 2 liter. i dont know how long i can keep them in these containers until i have to transplant. and yes there are drainage holes at the bottom of the 2 liters. i wanna keep them in these containers until flowering hopefully at around week 3 and transplant just before then into a 1.5 or 2 gallon container. i know i need stronger lights but i dont know what direction to go in. i kinda wanna stick to cfl if possible.i also wrapped aluminum foil around the blubs to focus the light dull side of aluminum foil inward.

today i named my plants the larger one is biggie and the one that just sprouted is smalls. I thought one of my bulbs burnt out so I checked it and it was fine and I went to put it back in and dropped and broke it so I got the 1 bulb on biggie. I'm gonna go get a bulb tmrw morning. I'm sure smalls can handle some low intensity light for a few. Any tips or suggestions would be helpful thanks.

I also just noticed biggie sprouting the second set. It seems the leafs are curling upward I don't know if it just hasn't unfolded all the way. I've been watering lightly with water that sat out for three days. Is there a shelf life on water sitting out be4 u shouldn't use it nemore.

I just watered them and smalls stretched to the height of biggie. This is unfortunate. I replaced the bulb with a cool white 26 w.

I just found a 42 w cfl and put that between both of them using just a standard outlet to bulb socket adapter. Biggies 2nd set is coming in nicely I will have pics tmrw. I lowered the plants I think with the aluminum foil the plant was getting too much light. I'm gonna see if the leafs uncurl overnight.

i would transplant them from those transparent plastic bottles as soon as possible!!!!!!
Roots need darkness!!!! it's really not a good idea to leave them like this...

I just watered them and checked on them. Biggies largest set of leaves are still curled temp is at 79. I covered the bottles with duct tape I'm hoping it that that's curling the leaves

Hey Balla, I think my leaves are curving the same as yours (see my pic). A canoe shape? I would like to know what causes it and if its ok or if it means theres something wrong with the plant? Anyone know? Thanks.

I had alumin foil as a reflector on my bulbs I read somewhere that it might be heat stress . Its the plants way of absorbingnless light so I took the aluminum foil off about an he ago I'm gonna check on them later and see let me know if ya hear something.
