Yeh, I put some alum foil up after seeing some pics of others using it but I've since seen a lot of posts here telling people "get rid of the foil" so i ditched it yesterday.

It would make sense if it is heat stress cause up until yesterday I was using an incandescent light bulb which got pretty hot. Using CFL now so it shouldn't be causing any heat problems but my climate is getting pretty hot this time of year so I might need to make a better attempt at keeping temps down.

Keep us updated. Peace.

You don't have heat stress unless you had the bulb almost touching the leaves.I would suggest that you get two 150w equivelent cfl's from wal-mart and put your plants in seperate pots.keep the lights 2-4 inches from top of the plant to aviod streching.you can get aluminum reflectors at home depot for about $8.00.Don't use miracle gro or any thing like it,been there done that get some quality nutrients if you want a decient harvest.until then mix 1 tablespoon of molasses in 1 gal. of water and water as needed.molasses has alot of micronutrients that are benifical to your plants.when you get your nutes continue to mix with molasses same as before.don't use nutrients untill after the second or third set of real leaves then only mix 1/2 strenght for the first week or two....hope this helps you and good luck with your grow........autotek500

I just checked on them and temp is at 82. Biggies tips on his leaves are discoloring so I felt the soil and it felt dry til about 2 inches down. I mixed about a third of a teaspoon of organic molasses in a 8 oz cup of water and watered til just a lil came out the drainage holes. I'm hoping it was just a lil thirsty. I will have pics on later hopefully. biggies 3rd set is coming in and its under 3 inches he's looking to b quite bushy. I'm contemplating pulling smalls and planting a diff strain.

I just Got a quarter of chronic and got 5 seeds. I'm germinating them as we speak. I realized I had the lights at about 1 to 2 inches and was heat stressing biggie. I made It about 3 inches now between them and the bulbs. I hope I get these chronic seeds germinated. Later yall.

no improvement on biggie he's getting sicker. I started the sugar yeast mix to add co2. Added a half teaspoon of molasses to a 8 oz cup of water and they seemed dry already
and I just watered them a cup yesterday. Biggies third set seems to be coming in nicely and look really green. The bottom 4 jagged leaves are getting yellow and brown tips and they are still curled upward.I'm gonna go get some epsom salt but I done know how much to add for a magnesim deficiency if he is under 3 inches.I'll post later.

I didn't have the thermometer next to the plants it was below it a lil so that could have been affecting the results. If it was 82 below it then it must be hotter about 10 inches closer. I added some Epsom salt and seen no results. I want to get a small fan to put in there I just need something small enough to fit on there to keep air circulating. The new leaves look fresh. I checked on the chronic seeds and 1 had germinated. The root had just protruded the shell. I dunno if I should just toss out my current plants and replace them if 2 of these chronic seeds germinate. I gotta wait for my girlfriend to get back with the camera to put some pics up. I turned off the 42 watt bulb to reduce some of the heat to see if the new leaves will come in healthy.

I'm slowly peicing together my grow space I found a table fan on clearance for 5 bux and that's giving a pretty good circulation in there and 2 of my chronic seeds germinated so I planted them assuming my 2 current ones are gonna die from all the heat stress. I found some dolomite lime as well and added about 10 percent of the red cups volume and sprinkled some on top of the soil to hopefully help integrate it into the soil while watering. I sprinkled some ontol of biggie and smalls to see if its a ph problem I will deft have pics up tmrw. Later yall

I just uprooted smalls because another chronic seed hatched and smalls was 3 inches tall with one leaf set. Pics up later. I dunnonof anybodys watching but I see alot of this is trial and error but if anybody can stop me be4 I make all the newb mistakes. And is there anyway to add the dolomite lime to water to nuetralize it? Well hope someones out there peace.
