My 1st indoor grow

I want to start my grow journal to keep track of what I've done and to get the forums opinions.

Quick run down of my setup. Sunblaze 4' 6 bulb T5's in the veg room and 1000 Watt HPS in the 4x4 tent.

I started my seeds germination 11-13-13. 2 Super Skunk 2 Kali 47 and 1 Pineapple Punch. They cracked open after 2 days. I went ahead and put them in rapid rooter plugs. I didn't have propagation trays so I sunk the plugs in my medium made of Pro Mix HP, Perlite, and Dolomite Lime. After 1 night of them being in the plugs, 1 has already broke through.

Question: Is it ok that I have them in the plugs in the soil at this stage in life? Should I pull them out and maybe put in egg crate? "I can't find propagation trays around here out of season"

I use ice cube trays to hold my Rapid Rooter plugs until the plants have developed their first 2 true leaves, and I see roots protruding thru the bottom the the Rapid Rooters. Then I transplant into pots.

great idea!! Should I pull the plugs out, while I still can? or just leave them in the medium and wait. Also, what size pots do you go with first?

4/5 sprouted. 3/4 have there 1st 2 leafs. the strange thing is, is the first one to actually break through the soil, is only showing greenish white stem. Its like it broke through without its leafs and is sitting there doing nothing. Any ideas? its been like that for about 2 days. The other 3 are up and looking good.

Hey MoNo,

Clean out your Private Message inbox. Every time I try to answer your PMs, I get a message that says your inbox is full, and can't receive any more PMs until it's cleaned out.

My latest reply to your latest PM to me is:

My electric bill increased about $12 to $15 per month running my 600-watt HPS on 12/12 and my T5/LED on 24/0. And I was also running a dehumidifier, which eats electricity.

Electrical costs on a small grow are small compared to the bux you save by growing your own.

The up-front cost is tough, I know. But in the long run, you will save big time, and have MUCH better smoke than you can buy off the streets.
