Here are some new pics 2 days later. All plants are being LSTd. Cabinet is app. 2ftx1.5ftx5.5ft. I think 250 watts is plenty. One Medijuana is a mutant. Medijuana purchased from Amsterdam Seed Co. Unknowns are freebies from the same.

Looks good 420, do you always keep your light so high above your ladies? How long will you veg?
Thanks Ruiner.I believe it is in the right range. It is @ 18 in. from the tops, too far away? advice welcome. I will veg for one more week. I have 5 meds that are 4-5 in. tall and started flowering under a flouro. Those are the ones in cups, just transplanted to final homes( 6in.round pots).Updates on Sat.

Also, one of the unknown freebies looks sativa and seems like it started to flower. Not sure, will try to get good pics of it this weekend.

Light should be as close as the heat allows, in order to let the plants get the most from it, you'll notice less stretching if you bring it closer, there is an equation for it that basically says after a couple feet the lights penetration power\output drops like crazy with every inch. I'm anxious to see what you can yield from a 250 watter, big buds to you my friend.

It is 16 in. above plants right now.The ladies(fingers crossed) are already propped up on 12in. pots and a shelf. I am going to the depot for a longer piece of vent hose for that is why I can't get the light lower at the moment. Here's an interesting tidbit: these plants are seemingly thriving in temps. around 90 F daily.Even with a small A/C vent(on left side of cab.)Lights off temps. are @ 80. My test batch from bagseed didn't seem to mind the heat. I also have no options. I may up the wattage to 400 since that is the light I have and the stoner at the hydro shop gave me the wrong bulbs(250W) However, my space may not need it. Opinion?Would give rep if I knew how.:joint::joint::hug::joint::joint:

I can add a small fan in the cabinet, but the a/c is all I can do. It is just an extension of a nearby duct from the house . So far so good with the plants though.

what if you put a inline fan in the duct coming from the houses AC, that would kick up the cfm's in your line bringing in cool air. To get a small space rigged to run a light and stay cool takes some engineering, no bones about it.
If your looking to do this for free then I'd say go back to the drawing board, save some money and come back and see me when your ready to get started again... do you have any ventilation on your grow light itself? is the hood vented? That's the first thing to do is get a sealed vented hood going in a area that small with HID lighting....

Yeah, I have an intake and outflow from the light. It can be seen in the pic of entire setup. The inline fan idea is a good bet. I will look into that. Right now I am not overly concerned about the heat as they don't seem to mind it. A guy named tamjam69 has a grow that I checked out where his plants grown in a loft did nicely in temps. around 90-95 F. Good advice, thanks.

Just finished tending to the girls? They are looking very robust and healthy. My attempt at LST is not working very well. I got a good initial bend but that second one is tough. They aren't very tall, but are very bushy, that is the medijuana I mean. The two unknowns are looking fine, although one is def. a sativa. LSTing the sativa seems to be working decently. The other one is a monster with huge leaves. On the light issue, my space is so small, i expect the light to be fine. I can always switch to a 400 if needed because that really is the setup I have. Like I said before, the lady gave me the wrong bulbs.

The fan is an inline exhaust fan that basically pulls cooler air into light and up and out the top goes the warm air. Got it used for $50. My light had optional knockouts if you want to run end to end or out the top. Hope this is what you wanted to know.
