My 400w HPS/MH burning the tops of my ladies

I'm 1 week into flowering, 5 plants. 4 of 5 look to be females, 1 I cant determine yet. Feeling good about that! Only 1 was feminized seed.

I just added a 400w HPS/MH and I have the conversion bulb in. When I first added the 400 w HPS my temps got to 95 near the reflector! I bought a EuroColler housing and added a exhaust fan. Temps are under control. The EuroCooler has a glass shield at the bottom.

I have a grow tent and the HPS is at the very top and 2 of my ladies are touching it. The are getting burned.

1. I thought about trimming then read that is bad. Right?
2. Will it be OK becasue there are PLENTY of flowers below.

I would get some string and tie down the tops that are touching the light. If you just let them burn, then they will be no good at harvest time. Don't just sit there and let them burn. Raise the light if you can.

I think the burning happened before I added the Eurocooler. Im noticing that with the glass they are not burning now. I put my hand under and touched the glass and it is warm but not burning. It is 85 degrees at the top but at the bottom of the plant it is 70.

One nice aspect is the water is 65 degrees.

Do you think I should tie them to the side? I can do this and get them from touching the glass.
