My 4th Grow.... L.A. Woman CFL Closet for Veg.

I thought I would make a thread for my 4th grow. I put it under CFL because that's what I'm using for Veg.

I have 2 clones that were cut from a plant that had bud on it so it's been slow reverting them back and getting started. Also the clones I received were infested with spider mites so been fighting that as well as low humidity and PH issues I Now have the PH correct. Humidity is still slow but the stalk of my plant is turning back green(It has been purple).

Here's some info.

Each clone is in 5 Gallon container with Hyponex soil and perlite mix.

I've been doing them about a month and half took about 6 weeks to revert as they were budding already.

I have 6 CFL's all 25 watts 100watt equiv.
4 - 6400k bulbs
1 - 2700k bulb

My Space is about 100 cubic feet
Only about 13 sq. ft.

My plan is to grow these out another month or so and make them mother plants.

I'm going to take 15 cuttings and put them in square pots to better use the space and put the clones under a 600watt HPS light in the same closet. I have an area to move the mothers with a 125watt 6400k CFL. Plan is to do 15-17 clones and harvest every 12 weeks or so.

Oh by the way the strain I was told is L.A. Woman

Temps range from 69 at the lowest and 84 at highest

Humidity is low around 21%-24%RH I spray water in the air and have a bucket of water evaporating in the room try to raise it to at least 30-35% RH

Here's some pictures for now.

Here's my closet a few years ago.

Middle plant was a clone cut from the plant to the left of it. I threw directly into flowering after it rooted in 6 days.

I flowered with CFL's that time around. This time will be using HPS and hoping to yield at least 1.5 ounces per plant if not more.

I have never topped, super cropped or lollipop so I am open to suggestions this time around. Want to try something not sure what would be the best for these to be mothers.

lst and prune.. if you plan on new clones popping up everywhere, go for the pruning lst method... refer to my current thread for insight...

Thanks I'm curious about LST I do not fully understand it. The person i got the clones from had something like LST going with the branches all tied down here is a pic of the mother from a few months ago. Oh and what do you mean by prune exactly.

Okay well I topped the larger one. I don't know if I did it correctly so we'll see. It had new leaf set coming out of the top between 2 grow shoots and I cut 80-90% of new leave set off left like a small "V" so hopefully 2 mains will come from there. It should not take more than 24-48 hours to see new growth where i cut correct? Could I of harmed the plant at all doing it wrong?

Here's a few pictures of the top after I cut it, sorry quality not the best a 2MP blackberry phone camera.

lol is that growing in front of a window?

Yeah lol and it quit flowering prematurely. I told my friend it was messing with photoperiod so he moved it and now has finished.

Why do you say they want more light? I'm sure they do though lol just curious

More pics of the top. The smaller one doesn't seem to be doing much. I trimmed all the dead leaves off. Give it some more time I guess If It doesn't come around guess I'll be starting with one mother.

I trimmed a lot of the lower leaves off the bottom of the larger clone. Should get better upper growth and get some air circulating down there. Things are slow. Think I overfed the larger on one my leaves are drooping down.

Will update with more pics soon.

Okay well the smaller clone doesn't seem to be doing anything. It was the one infested with majority of the spider mites and since has only produced 2 small leaf sets and the latter of the 2 never finished opening or developing so maybe scrap this one. My one mother should be enough for a couple of harvests of 25-30 clones. I'm expanding my closet another 2.5 feet in depth so I can fit more and better utilize the 600watt HPS for flowering all my clones.

Tonight I tied down the main stalk of the larger clone going to try LST with this as it may be my only mother and I need a bush for a 25-30 clones every 12 weeks.

I will post up some pics when I get a chance.

Smaller one still doing nothing really. If it doesn't show progress in the next 2-3days (I don't think it will. Any suggestions?)

The larger one has taken to the LST well here are some updated pics.

About to go water my babies. Anyone with LST experience think that I should tie more down? Only main stalk is tied down right now.

Hey man just read thru the thread...lookin' good. Are you using any nutrients at all? And about the lst..I'm just a beginner (if you could even consider me that yet) but from what I've gathered, most folks just tie em down when they need to..to try and keep the tops at the same height. and to try to keep the stalks as horizontal as possible.

Thanks yeah I used fertilizer lol too much actually I forgot this time I used MG organic soil so going to wait another 3 weeks for nutes . I usually use soil that doesn't have releasing fertilizer. I just been giving them 6.7 PH water every 3-5 days now. In about 3 weeks I'll probably five them nutes at 1/8th strength of recommendations. I just use Miracle grow 30-10-10 and adjust ph to 6-5 - 6.8 with it for veg. I use fox farm nutes for flowering they work great. FoxFarm tiger bloom is what all the clones will get through flowering. I start it at 1/4 strength and work my way up to full dose. LST is awesome I'm amazed how much it bushed out in 8 days. That is what I used LST for I mean check the difference in the pics below first is 8 days prior(the day i tied it down, 2nd pic was last night) I have no height requirements I have almost 8 feet of vertical space but I need a lot of branches for what I'm wanting to do.

I'm amazed with the results.

Yeah, thats awesome dude. I think my girlfriend is gettin me a jug of tiger bloom for a stocking stuffer. lol. Have you got a bloom area set up already? The closet area I'm working with is a little walk-in area leading up to my attic. It's got shelving on one side that makes 3 perfect areas for vegging, blooming, and maybe eventually clones up top. I think I;m gonna order a 300w HPS for flowering and try to set the thing up legit. I just have the lil set up I'm using now to get something vegged for now. Whatever you're doing, keep it up!
