My baby is sick

Hey guys
I'm new to this site and was hoping there was someone out there who could help me with a small problem I have.

My plants leaves are going brown towards the ends. Only the old and mid way leaves though. And some have light green spots.
I took a look through the conversations and found a link to picks of sick plants but none of the picks match what's happening to mine.

I grow out doors and with no chemical fertilizers yet. just natural soil and some bonemeal at times.

I have attached a couple of picks.

thanks guys

Yeah man, look at the trails, clearly some kinda insect, and by the thickness of the trail, i'd say something clearly visible with the naked vision ball...

can you see any pests at all?
also are you growing indoor or out?.
if you see pests, buy some pest killer, for ganja plants.
or if you get some pest killer from the store"reg" before you spray, add 50 pest killer and 50%water.
or
add some dish soap to water"warm"
leave for a day or 2 then, spray on your plants.
then next day water, and if the pests havent gone
repeat, and they should be gone.
always spray with water 2 days after you have done this.
any more pics?.
have you got a scope to have a better look?.

Looks like fert burn...but i dun reckon it is. No chem ferts... so unless hes been firehosing the bonemeal on...

I reckon its some bug eating the leaf, starting at the tip and carving inwards... I reckon go over ya plan with a fine tooth comb and find the bastard responsible....find him, and/or spray him...

I'll have a look on my plant for any unwelcome visitors today.

But to answer some of your questions:
I grow out side
Only with natural soil and some bonemeal when the plant goes in the ground.
Water with tap water and some times borehole water when the pump is on.
I put all of our biodegradable throw away in the ground I use for my plants to decompose. So that's most of the plants nutrients.
Loads of tea bags go in the ground and egg shells, that kind of stuff.

Thanks again for the tips guys. When I'm done checking out my plant I'll take some more photos for you.

cheers guys:mrgreen:

Ok so I checked through my plant with all the care of a gynaecologist and all I found was one aphid and a couple of tiny black flys.

could any of those caused the lines and green spots on the leaves?
keep in mind the plant is only growing in standard garden soil with home made fert. as of now I have put nothing in the soil but I read that some plants get brown tips as a result of under nourishment. I'm going to the green house with my dad some time soon to get some goodies for my plant.

will let you know if it makes a difference.

they are definately leaf miners as already said, mate.

they are small insects that eat the plant matter within the leaf strucure leaving trails on the leaf. this has then allowed a secondary source of infection to attack the affected area.

you will not see them by looking the plant over - the eggs or injected into the leaf matter itself.

buy an approprate pesticide and follow dosing instructions. will get worse as summer progresses if untreated.

Guys thank you all for your help.
I didn't know the chlorine in tap water burnt the leaves.
And now I know about a new pest called leaf miners (the bastards)

I have sorted out the water problem. Will now be keeping a bucket of bore hole water for my plants and as for the uninvited guests...they will be dealt with in an appropriate manner. heeheehee

cheers guys
