I had that happen a couple times where I didn't let it dry enough. Sucks man.
One batch I tried soda crackers and rice in the bag but that didn't work for me. Guess it was too dry.
Another batch that had already dried but dried to fast I set outside overnight to get it wet again and dried in paper bags, that worked.

Your less dense buds are gonna dry out faster, thats why i grow my plants to get the least amount of popcorn possible. Make sure you dont have too much air space in your jar, thats very important. you didnt ruin your harvest dont worry.

Shopping sack paper bags, don't put more then about 3 inches full, keep them closed in cool dry area.
Usually for a couple days, opening the bag and shaking it will give you a good indication of smell.
What it does is dry the bud slowly. helps the moisture even out.

ok i checked the buds in my paper sack they were alot dryer crispy and the smeel had desapated some. But i dont think ill be ever growing NL again lol..Dont like the smeel, the way it came out..just doesnt seem right. But hey ill let time tell! Ok so they were really dryr so i just put them back in the jars. should i? should i leave em to dry in the paper sack longer???

I leave them in paper bags until I know for sure that are dry. If they still have that cut grass smell I get them wet again and start over. You can make dry weed moist again several ways, Best I found is to jar it and put a small piece of damp paper towel in there overnight. Moistens it up and I put it back in bags.

It's not the strain you grew, every strain will do this if it's not dried properly.

how many full twist should he make for a perfect curing?
yah, watt did we miss tafbang? how we being trolled??

and to the op, that hey smell is normal.. its the chlorophyl escaping from the buds.. usually takes about 3 weks in jars for the dank smell to return, and yes, keep burping to you get the smell your after, then you won't have to burp anymore..

do i burp them anymore?
I give the two or three days in the paper sacks then in the jars, The idea of the paper sack is slow the drying process down. I don't open the jars for a week, then just to check for moisture. Should smell pretty good by then.

Soured lemon tea. That should be on the packet for the Northern Lights seeds. Ive been trying to put my finger on the smell and that is exactly it.
