im live around this area... i moved here from PA.. not as easy to work as youd think, and i went to school too. this is my 1st summer down here and holy shit, im from PA, im not used to the winter being the "busy season" but this area is so fucking over populated its rediculous, theres literally no back roads around here or country.. just mad people. 2 jobs i worked for down here didnt even fucking pay me, people are shifty round here and a legit job is tough to find, but i found me a great job down here, just took about 2 months of bullshit work
i got my job now by actually working for minimum wage a couple hours a day there to show them i know how to weld. now i make a whooole lot more

Then hire the next person on the list? Doesn't take long to train someone for a job like that. That's how it used to work anyways, of course nobody expects someone to work there forever, even the "more qualified people" will eventually quit. They have endless people applying now so of course they will pick the ones that will work there the longest, it's different now, bullshit is what it is. No longer first come, first serve.

I don't have any experience or a degree so I'm out of luck too. I work for the city. It sucks but I'm not gonna leave the only job I could find. 20 more years lol.
.....lol Its not even a Degree employers care about, they want experience; especially if it's in IT. Your GPA and achievements don't mean shit in the job market. Also, ill let you know right now..having a Degree or working towards one; doesn't guarantee you a job in the slightest. What it might guarantee you, is applying for a lot of internships where you will HOPE to gain experience while you work for free.
I have a GPA of 3.779 and have made the Deans List multiple times, yet I still have a hard time finding work. This summer I worked some cash jobs installing window wells and doing basement repair with a family friend because I could not find anything else. I have friends who have graduated already and are still stuck working at a Meijer because they simply cannot find anything else.
You will experience the other end of the spectrum once you start perusing a degree or obtain it. The Important thing to remember is to keep improving yourself regardless of how shitty things are going job wise; don't let yourself stagnate. As long as you are actually trying and putting forth your best effort, don't beat yourself up too much.
