My favorite Plant split down the middle, help

I was spreading my two top branches apart (the two formed by my topping the plant) when the main trunk of the plant spit right down the middle. I quickly taped the split back together then super glued the split closed.

Is there a chance that the plant will survive with the repair I made or should I just cut the top half of the plant off and take a much smaller harvest from the plant.

Anybody have any suggestions. Fdd, what do you think?

if u ever got super glu on your skin imagin wut it will do to ur plant....i never super glued a plant together be4 or taped but the growing process might slo down for a week or 2 maybe 3 to repair itself depending how much damage you did....it would be nice to post pics because you might be able to top it enuff and get a bigger harvest becuz the plant will bush out but thats just my thoughts ive learned alot from here and ive learned marijuana are some tough plants basically just take care of her

you should have just taped or otherwise supported the plant and it would regrow.

I don't think the superglue will help or hurt. The problem is that if you covered the two damaged portions of the stem, there is no way for them to reheal.

Just give it some time, support it, and see what happens. Weed is tough.

Update.....I taped the plant within 5 min of the split and hopefully it kept the inner part of the stem from drying out. I Super Glued the spot where the two limbs met to seal it off from bugs and to keep keep the moisture from escaping. After a 106 degree day the plant still looks well. No drooping or leaf curling.

As to getting Super Glue on my skin: I'm a musician, and have on a couple of occasions cut a finger before playing a gig. I've Super Glued the slice in my finger and successfully played the gig. Super Glue was developed to suture wounds closed on the battle field.

Thanks for your support.

Sounds like you did exactly what was needed at that stressful moment. Way to go!
Yep- Can't count the times SG has saved my fingers from further discomfort and allowed me to enjoy the gig.

zip tie or use rope to hold it together. I don't think sg is porus so I think rope might be ur best choice. Gl

I tied a piece of butcher's twine between the two branches today for extra support. After two days of 105 degree temp. it still looks good. I'll take some pics tomorrow.
