medical marijuana is a stupid law. of course people should use it for medication, but i should be able to get high for fun, i should have just as much of a right to use a plant as someone with a dibilitating disease. the law is made in a way thats going to screw you somehow anyway, its just the matter of looking.

ok so heres what i got to say:

they have a sign there that says no medicating on site due to the detroit police dept coming in and saying thats the rules.

when we were there, george clinton was walking around the outdoor section where they have the different dispensaries. there was 1 dude that packed him something out of an ice bong with a dirty silicone tube that everyone was sharing. when it was finally my turn, the guy lighting it was "its cached"...so he didnt repack & i didnt ask for it. that was the only non-cigarette smoking that i saw. i bought a couple different strains from a few tents and some edibles. there were really not that many outrageously cool vendors. ganjar was one, and another glass jar product (where you can write on it with a permanent marker and has the sticker that says "hello my name is ____"). the also had a soil and lighting booths, some sweatshirts, a few glass things (pipes, bongs, etc).

i forgot the names of the strains i got & theres nothing labeled. one is white widow for sure...i forgot the others. but $35, $45, $55 per 1/8th. $10 & $19 per grams. edibles ranged from $2 - $10 for cakes, capsules, jolly ranchers, brownies, rice krispy treats, chapsticks, salves, candies, muffins, tinctures, and even chocolate/strawberry milk!

so you gotta take everything home & try it, but lucky for us, we live just down the street from it!

so there ya go, im going back tomorrow to do some last chance shopping!

im also going to th
e VIP afterparty in an hour or so...
freebies ?

the law clearly says "unusable roots, stems, adn seeds"-

trim is weight.

And you've proven my point.4lbs of trim IS only going to be around if the intent is to make hash..or oil.....which make sugar leaf trim...part of your weight.
The law says not to count unusable stalks, stems leaf material..blah blah..blah...the reason UNUSEABLE is the first word in the definition, is because sugar leaf trim IS useable..for oils and hash.

what i wanna know is where in the law is it making it illegal for us to smoke on the private property in a designated area that we paid to get into?

uhhh - 2 of those.. drying and curing are legitimate things to say.

read the law.

USABLE MATERIAL.

i hate you people who throw out so much spam about our law when you dont understand it just as much as the people who oppose it entirely.

cut your shit down. hang it. grab 2.5 when needed - 2 weeks later your patient is filled and you are back to zero. have a rotating system? you should be near empty on usable material at all times if you do it right.

ignorance is ignorant.

you are right about clones though. potential plant is still a plant until we fight for that. which ought to be your real concern. broadening our rights and not restricting further.
With all due respect, YOU should read the law, as it was intended, not as it suits your wants. And I'd love to see our rights broadened and less restrictive. Abusing what we've been given isn't the way to do it
.
Curing is weight. Period..end of story. When you're curing, it's dry AND useable.
Drying, of course wet weed doesn't count as weight, but If ya simply weigh it wet, Figure 80% loss in drying, you have a pretty good idea if your "hanging weight" is going to be close to legal. It's also dry when it's dry..just because it's still hanging, you can't claim it's not dry if it is.

I think rotating systems are awesome..put one plant in flower every two weeks, Harvest one plant every two weeks. You could have 12 in flower all the time..BUT, have you tried that method, or one similar? You have different plant height (either need more lights, or love to "shim" the ladies every day) and feeding stage issues. Someone doing that, probably only grows for themselves.

I've never had to shim any plants.. I have a +-3" canopy.. I guess if you grow a bunch of different strains and don't know how to train..

bob i understand you hate to hear some people make stupid excuses that dont fall under one of the many grey areas in our mmmj law but look at it from this point of view. The fact that we have to even go to a doctor with and or without debilitating need for marijuana is (and really let this sink in) A FUCKING HYPOCRITICAL JOKE brought to US(that includes you) by the people we PAY to run whats left of this country into the ground. not to sound ignorant so pardon me "don't hate the player hate the game"
lets band together as one unified group instead of letting big pharma and chemical run our government.
I totally agree.

And I don't hate the players...I do however kinda dislike the cheaters.

EXACTLY!! They purposely spread rumor rthat there will in fact be a medicating tent then they pull this shit.

why cant i like your post though? the like button isnt showing up.
With all that's going on in Michigan...are you surprised? It's a medical show, has to be or it wouldn't be allowed at all. Our med law is pretty clear about "publicly medicating" why would you expect an exception? If it were "best new pharmaceutical pain killer of the year" show.....there wouldn't be Doctors and patients testing the goods...

I'd bet they the organizers were trying really hard to have a medical tent...probably fought it to the last minute. Don't think the organizers were trying to deceive anyone...but ya know the police chief got a call from our Governor...

It may be rented property, but it isn't private. It's a public event...that makes it a public place, as far as the law is concerned.

LOVE the way you take things out of context...

That discussion was about plant of different ages all in the same flower room. So you must be able to train so well, that the plant coming down this week, hasn't gotten taller then when you put it in flower?

You contradict yourself quite a bit.. You have already admitted to cheating or is it ok if it's just a little

bit?
And you sir are a master of semantics...I have admitted to having small overages, which used to be legally sold to dispensaries, definitely in the "grey area" when interpreting the written law word for word. I'm now admitting that I'm miffed because that "grey area" has been closed by the behavior of others. I've also admitted to be trying to figure out how NOT to cheating by these changes to the law.

The law as written limits usable weight to an unachievable standard. You simply can't grow, harvest and dry 2.5oz per card on the number. Lawmakers, Politicians, cops and DA's all will acknowledge that. The possible overages achievable with a legit 12 plant perpetual grow is...what? Good grower...say 6 in flower..2 stages, harvesting 3 plants a month...maybe 9oz dry? 6.5 oz overage...lawmakers, cops,DA's, Government....all knew that loophole existed when the law came out. Now, they also knew that only people TRYING for max yield would grow that much. The 70 year old woman in a wheel chair suffering from whatever god awful condition she has...won't grow excessive amounts..she'll just tend a small garden..and be happy with her meds. And if she is too ill to grow, someone else that's growing can be her caregiver. And that caregiver will grow her plants responsibly. The law transfer the plant count to the care giver so that the care giver can maintain a second strain if needed. Not so the care giver can double his production.

The "intent" of the law was to allow an uninterrupted supply for the patients. It did that. The intent of the law was never for a care giver to amass patients for plant count, then max production and profit wildly.

The self growing patient, staying within their plant count, isn't the reason laws are being tightened. The abuse comes with care givers. (I'm sure not all) But the ones maxing yields by growing out everything they can yield.

It's the abuse of "economy of scale" that causes the laws to be tightened.

If you have 5 patients, god bless you. If you grow max yields and use all 60 plants....then god shouldn't bless you...your ruining things for everybody. The more plants, room, and equipment that you have, the more efficient your grow, and the higher your 'per plant' yield.
The amount of "overages' becomes huge....one grower with 60 plants should out produce 5 growers with 12 plants each....economy of scale...

A single grower, staying within 12 plant counts..can overproduce, a few oz's per month after his 2.5 oz....a caregiver, maximizing 60 plants.. should produce overages of 5lbs a month, after supplying thier 5 patients.

There is quite a bit of difference, both in "intent" and in profit.
