image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Posting this in newbie section because I'm a total newb to cloning. Plus I think my experiences might help others.

These cuttings were taken off of a HSO Chocolote Mint OG(Grand Daddy Purple x OG). ***EDIT:::She was 5/6 ish weeks into flowering.:::EDIT

*I am using a GrowBrite 9 site bucketcloner(HTG guy said that this would be just as good as an EZ cloner brand. Huge price difference.)

*I have a 2ft 6 lamp T5 fixture, but only running 2 bulbs for the clones.

*Humidity has been 35%-50%.

* No cloning gels. Only water. 1/2 filtered, 1/2 plain tap(well). For some reason I thought this would be good as I think that filters take everything out of the water..lol but I dunno.

**24hr lights on.

I put the cuttings in the cloner on December 3rd and I've checked them basically every day(don't think I should have.

So it's been 10 days and I have roots!!! I'm so excited!!!

Any criticism is welcome

You didn't just clone bro, you monster cropped, and that's even harder.

Are you going to flower those right away or reverse flower to veg. This would make a good journal.

And I think 10 days is a good time for monster cropping with plain water.
Congrats.

Thank you to you both!

As to your question: I am planning on keeping 1 or 2 in my veg tent as mother plants. The rest I'm not entirely sure what I'm gonna do. Being so new to this I'm not sure exactly how they will grow. Sure, I've read about monster cropping but I know sometimes implementation can be different than what we expect.

Ideally, I would like to do a small(?) sog or scrog grow with 5 or 6. So I guess I will flower right away? Or maybe have a 1 week of vegging. The mother plant didn't stretch very much at all when she flowered.

The ones you see on the picture with roots, are they ready to go to soil? Cause with my current circumstances the earliest I could flower is around the 29th. But it seems like they wouldn't be ready by then.

I would suggest at least a healthy root system before flower. And yeah a few roots and in the soil with them. They'll need food soon, and good soil will do that. At least that's what I think. Btw I like the bucket cloner.

In like 8 or 9 days they will have to be left alone for 6 days....I was hoping to put them in soil before then....you think by then they'll be ready? Being monstercropped, I know they are suppose to take longer to form roots, but what about once they start making roots, will the go at a 'normal' pace now?

I have some used ffof but I'm gonna get a fresh bag for these.

I can't say for sure about " normal " . My only experience with monster cropping was a plant that was 8 weeks into flower and had been severely stressed because of equipment failure. I took the cutting but didn't expect it to survive, I put it in a diy bubble cloner and it took 24 days to show roots. Another 6 weeks to reverse back to veg ( under very low wattage) I added some more light, and pretty soon I enough new growth to take three more clones , and then three more. At that level of maturity I decided to flower the original. Big ass plant flipped on 11/20 .

I use ffof , ffhf ,perilite, ewc , d lime , Epsom salts , mycos or great white , clay cat litter. If your soil was fed heavy with salt based nutes , definitely get new soil , but if it was very lite or organic you can mix with other stuff and be ok . I only feed once at one week after flip and when they look like they need it. I have very healthy plants with good bud development, that don't show deficits ( knock on wood) . This is my third grow using this recipe , best results I've had indoors. There's a lot of great recipes, this is just what I do. And I might tweek it so it's not prefect by any means.

And yeah it's cool to transplant and take off as long as the lights not to close or something like that. What I do is mix all my stuff and water it good then transplant into wet soil and I don't water again until it is showing signs of needing watered . I also let my wet soil sit for 1/4 weeks depending on how fast I need it or how well I plan ahead but I have mixed wetted and used in the same day .

Wow, lol, 6 weeks to go back to veg.. If these are gonna take that long I have 60 day lemon/HSO green crack I will grow out first. When I get back I'll reassess and go from there.

That is exactly what I did. Popped some more beans , got them ready and flowered them while I was reversing to veg and taking clones.

Ohh I wanted to ask if you noticed more smell from the monster cropped clones, I had way more.
No smell in the tent that I can tell, but I do have a carbon filter venting the clean air outside, so it may be covering them up..

I checked them again today, and I do believe the root growth is exponential now. It would seem that within the next 7 days I'll be able to put in soil. I will update pictures in a day or two.

Here they are...man I am still so blown away with how they are doing!! To be honest I kinda expect them to die off or something because this has been waaaay to easy lol

So, can I plant in soil now? I will search for proper technique if so. Or you all can tell me. Either way is good :-)

Threw in a picture of the momma. She is 6 weeks today :-)))))). I really should have cut her down days ago, but she is putting on noticeable bud growth every single day now, so I'm waiting as long as I can....

I cannot wait! to get these clones of her flowred.

I see that they are ready for soil. Yay!! I have some 1/2 gallon bag pots that I am going to put them in. I'll do it tomorrow. This is good. It will give me enough time to watch them a bit after the transfer, before they will have to be left alone for 5/6 days.

Ok so I clone in rapid rooter cubes and when you see roots it's ready , u got about a week to get it done. I used a diy bubble cloner with a 3" netty pot ,no neaprem , the plants got all tangled up in the roots or the roots got tangled up with the nettys.

Any how yours are ready to transplant gl

I tried to be as gentle as possible when I put them in the soil...hopefully it was carful enough...
I only have 2 of the t5s on right now. One on each side.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Some more pictures for everyone.

Out of the 7:::::: 5 are flourishing. 1 was slow to grow. 1 did not make it.

The 2 that didn't do so well were bad cuttings I think. Not taken from an end of a branch.

They are not in the same order in these pictures as they were in past pictures.

I have 6 60 day lemons germinating right now...so the clones have to be in that tent for another 65 days minimum. Hopefully they won't out grow it...however I've found that if you skip some waterings, that it will slow growth.

Everything looking good. The lemons are a little stretchy but I've corrected the problem so all will be good now. 1 of the seedlings died out. I don't think I did anything to cause it.

Transplanted 4 clones to 3 gallon smart pots. Will go 12/12 in a few days.

New clones start today:-P

Got a magnesium issue, I think, which I'm working on correcting, but for the most part all is doing good.

Started 12/12 last night.

The clone in my veg tent with the lemons was the one runt of my first batch. It's finally taking off now :-) I will use it to get cuttings for the 3rd run.

My current cuttings are showing first signs of roots. :-)
