My first grow almost done!Advice welcome. Pics inc

Hi guys,

Well im pretty sure harvest time is within a week for one of my plants and a couple for the others. I just thought i'd share some pics of my grow status and see if you guys have any advice for me.

I grew 3 plants (2 pineapple chunk & NL x BigBud) in a small cupboard with cfl's and used bio canna nutes and soil.




The one that is being harvested next week is the really crystally one (NL x BigBud), all the trichomes are cloudy and a very few amber. Im not exactley sure when the others will be ready, im guessing in 2-3 weeks. I fed them with plain water last as they were suffereing from nute burn.


Even though i've made so many mistakes im pleased with the results so far, considering its my first grow and many ppl dont even get to the finish line. I know I can get twice as much from just 2 plants nxt time. My main problem was space, I didnt train them and let them grow too high and had to bend them all over eachother just befor flower. Next time im just going to grow 2 plants and train them from an early stage, then scrog them so I can have light directly over the bud sites. Hopefully maximising my crop.

Nice grow man. Even for ur first go at the grow I think u did well. Im as well doing my first grow, very excited n hope to get nice buds. Also I have 2 pineapple chunk going under my 600w ,how did those plants treat you? Any tips

Very pretty buds! Kudos. Be sure to read up on proper harvesting, curing and drying. Don't screw it up now and enjooooooy.

yea realy nice for CLFs and a fist grow .. look similar to my fist with a 600W HPS .. tho with a bit high temps .. Rep to you ..


but do I see a RH on 63% ?

try to get it down a bit .. maybe add a small fan to circulate air around the plants and inside the canorpy ..

maybe also do a littel bit of prune .. just some of the lower yellowing leaves .. so you dont build up to much moist in ther ..

would suck to get mold now .. not that its allarming high .. but still ... 40% would be better .. some like 30% ..
so 63% might be slightly high specialy if air curculation/flow is`t that great ? dunno your set up ?

I think he's running 25% humidity and 60 degrees maybe not though.

Im growing my plants under 3 125CFl's. The pineapple chunk seems to be a high yielder as even though it suffered more stress than the NL x BigBud it has way bigger buds and more of them. One of my buds is 10inches tall and fatter than a can of pop. It did suffer some nute burn on the pineapple chunk so take it easy with the nutes and if you do notice any burn, reduce the nutes or just water with plain water then nxt time a half measure of nutes.

I got plenty of air circulation at the moment as my cupboard door is open and i got 3-4 fans blasting air all round the canopy and pushing air up from the bottom. I already pruned all the yellow/Dead leaves, most of my foliage is just around the canopy. My only concern is that when the lights are off and i open my cupboard the nxt day the humidity is 90%!! Im trying not to concern myself with this too much as i keep telling myself in the rain forest its 100% humidity at night time. The seeds i got are mould resistant strains so hopefully they will protect themselfs whilst they're still in the soil. I will move them into a space with a humidity of 40% when drying.

I vegged with 2x125 Blue Cfl then 3x125 for flowering. Im surprised with my results so far considering alot of people slam cfl's and there yeild in comparison to HPS. I know i can get twice as much from just 2 plants nxt time. Its just about training your plants so you can get those bud sites directly under the light. Oh and start training them from a very early stage, trust me i left it way to late and possibly halfed my yeild as a result.

do you flower with Red (2700K) ?

and are you in soil ? a nice littel hydro/DWG system could most likely add another 30% in yild ..

been thinking about it myself .. to skip the HPS and build a 7 start T5HO box with DWG and +50K Lumens .. and see if it is`t possible to get the same as with a HPS and hot temps ..

Great job, fantastic looking.

Great job for a 1st grow and with CFL's to boot! I grew a Pineapple Chunk out and it was super stinky and covered in trichs. Some of the best tasting smoke ever in my opinion. Of course it had that skunky smell to it with a sweet fruity taste that I just like. Other people might not like it as much as me, but my friends wanted more. And I wasn't coming off of it at all! Lol! Good luck in the future!

Hi,

Yeah im using red CFL's for flower. They're alot hotter than i expected but I didn't have to open my cupboard door until the past month with it turning into summer.

I'm growing in BioCanna Terra soil and using there full organic range, although I had to stop using the Rhizo after a month as it went out of date (Im never getting nutes from that site again haha).

I've never considered hydro and probably never will as it really isnt my thing. Im not to concerened about having a massive yield so long as I grow enough to see me through my next project. I would be happy with 2oz per plant with my set-up. Im probably only going to get 1oz per plant on this grow, but it is my first attempt and i've learnt alot of lessons.

I cant have a monster set-up as my grow space is in my bedroom and I need it to be as silent as possible (mainly so I can sleep & guests dont get suspicious), it annoys me just having the cupboard door open, as when its closed its nice and silent. I even had the electrician pop round to fix something in my room and he didnt even notice! That was befor it started smelling though haha.

yea I understand ..

and I have some of the same concerns .. also why I consider to down scaling a bit .. but I would then try to keep evrything els spot on ..

btw

do you have some kind of outtake ventilation ?
if not I would consider to buy one of them bathroom ventilations and build a small box like the one you have now .. but make it out of playwood or masonite .. make it air/light proof ... so you can hide it complatly and so you dont have to keep doors open aso.

you can get em realy chap ... 12$ or so




and if noise is a problem even tho they dont make mouch .. you can get some that is pretty close to silent .. but then they also cost 50$ .. but still a good investment Im sure ..

I even talkd to Ppl. who have build a box as a "table" for the aquarium and that way hide ther box and sound and the aquarium also use pumps that are noisy and wires stikking out aso.

then all your friends could look at your nice fish tank wile you know all your babies is inside the carebint belove

a littel carbon replacement filter for them cooker vents you have in the kitchen dont cost mouch either (10-20$) same place I buy my bathroom ventilations ..



a littel dutch tape and Im sure they are easy to fit your ventilation so it pull the old/hot air out through them filters ...

that will not just make it odourless and keep temps down .. it will also provide fresh air/co2 for your girls ..
