my first grow, is it ripe??

To the knowing eye, is it blatantly obvious, clear as the midday sun, that this flower is ripe, past ripe, or not quite yet, based on these photographs?

I do not have access to a macro lens or jeweler's loupe or such.

Also, if there is a specific sub-forum this should have been posted in, please do tell me.

Looks ripe and ready to me. Nice orange hairs. But wait for more advice from someone with a bit more knowledge.

9 weeks of 12/12

Looks ripe to me. Orange hairs are pretty dark, and 0 white pistils.

Looks like possible pm on the leaves or some sort of thrip infestation.

I've had intermittent attempts at outbreaks by spider mites. I don't think that explains the white powder appearance. I sprayed diluted Dr. Bronner's at about week 2 and week 7 of flower but I would have expected any soap residue to be washed away because I sprayed them down with water twice a day or so preventively against recurrences of spider mites.
I had to ask Uncle Google what thrips are but I've never noticed anything except the occasional spider mite during inspections.

I just tried and to my surprise No it does not come off, it looks superficial but is quite persistent/stubborn.

I’d be worried about smoking it honestly. But I shoot for safety first.

I don't know about spraying it down like that. Sounds like you are asking for issues.

csant say that pm is good for smoking, but id say there ready. nice buds.

Ok. White mold is easy to beat, mist with 70% milk (low fat works fine) and 30% water and spray everything plants,pots,and everything else....(fans as well) leave for a week then flush with a spray bottle. It’ll come off clean n will kill the mold. Try this next time, as these girls look done. And without a loupe u can’t tell enough to push your luck.

I would have to agree with everyone else that they are ready. Good looking girls you have.

It really looks like you have a bad mite infestation. If you do, and you choose to smoke the bud, you might be smoking dead spider mite bodies and their poop as well.

Mmmm... You know you reminded me of the coffee that comes from beans that have passed through the digestive system of jungle cats prior to being processed and consumed. I wonder what differences the mite poop may make.

Mite corpses and excrement sounds gross and I have considered that possibility but I'd rather mite poop than pesticides(neurotoxins).

Just so we can be completely candid about the mite poo n corpses..... do you all really think that everything is clean of bug excrement n such? Consider how many of us grow outside in the summer. Be realistic..... fire kills everything! And if you want to smoke weed that is bug, dust, excrement, n corpse free ur done smokin! No one can be 100% sure they have had zero contamination when it comes to bud. There are to many variables to be sure. And unless you just started smokin after you started growing I promise you have inhaled some crazier shit than mite corpses!

Ready or not it's time to cut. Do a wash after. Probably be best to just turn it into dry ice hash or use it for edibles.
