my first grow

Looks like a killer setup. Yea having the lights sideways is better, but since you got a reflector and a shit load of lights you should be good. Do you plan on topping/pinch your babies? Or are you going to flower them soon? subbed

nice setup man. you deffenitly got enough lights, but did you check to see if there 65000k/daylight. did you order your seeds online?

thanks! i don't know what this topping method is, but i'm guessing it makes the plant bush out more rather than get tall and lanky, which isn't ideal for a CFL grow. i'll try looking it up on RIU here, but if you have any specific link that would be most appreciated. oh, and also, the lights are in the 6500k spectrum. i heard that using the 2500k CFL bulb is for the flowering stage, but i really don't wanna buy $30 of light bulbs and switch them out unless i have to. the seeds are from a caregiver and the strains are listed somewhere around the third or so sentence.

today i switched the timer to the 12/12 cycle to induce flowering. i will be mixing a batch of nutes that are labeled as "flowering" as soon as they need a little more watering done. i switched from 6500k to 2700k today, and while picking up these new bulbs, i couldn't help myself from buying a 68 watt (equal to 300 watts) MASSIVE CFL. i put it right over my biggest girl. here is a picture, showing this ghetto rigged bulb
hovering over which is sure to yield the most. i plan to reposition, and buy 3 more, lights and make a better hood and use the surrounding CFLs as side lighting, leaving the mass bulb to take the top. fasho.

scince your already this far with cfls, i was wondering how many 34w cfls you suggest for 1-2 plants?

4 would be the shit, but i don't math.. there is a formula or something that relates it into watts and inches and shit.. i dunno i saw it in the CFL growing forum main page.

today I took a picture of my nutrients. the first four are for flowering, as the last four are for veg. not bad for free. i priced these same nutes elsewhere and they would have rung up @ over $100 for sure, if not $150.
4Real, do you use the power supply originally in the computer to power the fans? if so, do you leave it inside the PC mounted in the standard mounting place?

i hear 100w of true power per plant if u want to be semi legit with cfls, like real watts a 100w cfl only draws like 26w so ude nee dlike 4

it all depends. each bulb i run is 23 watts, so 322 CFL watts (i am not using the huge CFL until i can build a better hood setup), so technically that's only about 54 CFL watts per plant, but then again i have the Mylar reflector and hood.. my growth is not shitty IMO, and the plants are big and lively, with chunk ass stems as well.

i know i'm posting like a madman but for real i change this up on the daily. i just renovated the grow room a little bit, and hooked my babies up with a third speaker (daisy chained, and split from my old ass Zune and the USB AC adapter). the pictures i am showing on here in this post are of the new arrangement including the 68 watt CFL in a reflective hood for my two smallest plants, and also the sides of the two bushiest plants. also, i am up to a grand total of 26,600 lumens, woo hoo! that brings me to a grand total of 390 CFL watts (@ 65 watts per plant approx., depending on the spacing from plant/location of massive bulb/location of Y split clamp lamp). enough said, damn, here are some new pictures.

I do a pc grow and my psu sits outside on the ground, but on top of a mobo box. There is a mobo in that box to which has my power switch connected to.

- Don't forget to rotate them at least 2 times if you can per day. They will love you for that. -

pc ghrow boxes are good for vegging a month or so right with how many cfls?

thanks for reminding me, too many hits out the vape got me spaced . i can't remember if i posted this, but now my 6 plants have 4 speakers, harmon/kardon and polk audio, not too shabby (yet another free addition). yeah the reason i wanted a PC case grow was to veg clones and stuff.

well i have been waiting and waiting for my babies to show their sex, and last night i discovered my first female. as soon as that happened, i checked each and every one of them. so far right now i have 4 confirmed females, and two unknown. i really am excited what the following 45 or so days have in store for me. here's some pictures to really get you guys into my lil world o' weed

i took down the mylar off my walls. i anticipated in the beginning using a HPS or some shit but $$$ and temperature factors fucked me outta that, so now i have a ball of the shiny stuff in my attic, oh well.
