My First Grow

shiiiiiiit i put mine in 8" pots becaues thats what you were using, looks like it was working fine for you! its just for my own consumption, so im not overly worried about yield.

yea, ill log my grow, seems like a great idea!

You water every three days, and you feed every other (so roughly once per week)

can you give me some input as to what your feeding routine is? (product, amount, etc etc?)

From the looks of things the yield is looking like it will be small. I am planning the next grow now. I have purchased a 400 watt hps with a cool tube reflector and plan to put it in a homebox small or a secret jardin DR80. I can't wait to get it all set up.

Is this what you want? It's a DR80 with dual 250W cooltubes.

Man I can't count the times I have looked through your grow log. You have one of the cleanest setups I have seen anywhere online! That is the exact setup I am going for except one cool tube with a 400 watt hps. Since you have a few different tents what would you recommend between a homebox or a secret jardin? What are your temps like in there with both the 250 watt lights? Thanks for stopping by.:blsmoke:

If you just planted you have time to transplant later. I have already tied my girls to this pot so it would be really hard to transplant. I am using Expert Gardener's Bloom Burst from Wal-mart. I am using it at 3/4 strength every other watering.

You just made my day! LOL! Thanks for the kind words. To give you some background on where Im at. For years I have kept salt water reef aquariums. Nothing better in this world smoking some reefer in front of the reef. LOL! When Im not high staring at the fist tank, I'm into building 3D performance helis and fly them at the park. These hobbies have prepared me well for hydroponics. All the knowledge of aerodynamics and biology come to together to make aeroponics a cinch. I know It doesn't look like this is my first attempt but it is. But anyway I digress, to answer your questions:

I would recommend the Secret Jardin if space isn't an issue. If you have one spot and require something to fit in it. Then go with whatever one is the best fit. The quality is better than average on both of them. I take points away from the Jardin for the tiny zipper they put on that thing. But Im learning to be careful with it and I think it will be fine.

Temperature is the single biggest show stopper! If you havent test run it several days to figure out what works and what doesn't than you have no business putting a plant into it yet. My temps were in the mid 90's in the DR80, but I had 800W in 2 cooltubes. Yea, overkill big time, I know.... So after switching out the 2 - 400W bulbs for 2 - 250W bulbs Im running right where I want to be. 86 degrees is the high temp occasional going up to 88 degrees, so that is acceptable. Not perfect but acceptable. With one 400W and a cooltube with the right fan you wont have any temp issues at all. Unless its like 100 degrees in the room where you keep the tent.

Here are some different designs on a single cootube and odorsok. The Sunleaves Fans are the shit. Nothing is better that I know of. It was tough fitting that cooltube in there horizontaly without putting it on an angle. I just kept playing with different configurations until I thought it looked clean. Never got there, thats when I started looking at the other cooltube and find a nice way to put two of them in there. I dont see why you could just copy the final design but skip the second cooltube?

Shit that's what a quarter pound of dank costs in some areas. Small price to pay considering I expect to get a little bit ;-) more than a QP out of it.

My light fixtures come from lowes. Single fixtures would work but you have to do more wiring. I wanted to keep it simple so I got the fixtures. You could use single fixtures with "Y" splitters that way one fixture would hold 2 lights.
