Hello Everybody first off I want to say thank you for being such a great resources for cannabis. I am growing my first plant from bag seed. I carefully selected my first plant and now I'm going to clone it a couple of times and have some nice buds soon enough. She is currently 1 month 1 week old and 10 inches tall. I started her on an 8/16 light cycle today to try to start the flowering process. Pics to come (Maybe).

The setup for this grow is Miracle Grow Potting Soil, Clay Pot, Miracle grow water soluable nutes, time release pellets in soil, window fan for circulation, and one fluorescent light aswell as one metal halide grow light (Blue wavelength).

:peace:

The MG should work just fine. A little concerned about the pellets since MG is pretty hot already, but have never tried them. Make sure you flush for 2 full weeks prior to harvest, I only did 1 week on my first run and there's a difference in tast and burn.

To switch to flower, you want to kick your lights over to 12/12. MJ is a photoperiod flowering plant.

Probably will not be pics until next week but I can try to describe it. The fattest stem at the moment is probably 1/2-3/4 of an inch thick, the plant is about eh.. 10 inches or somewhere around there, I topped it a couple days ago and the extra (3rd nd 4th) colas are developing nicely. I can also see two pistil like structures below every leaf node, she has been in flowering for approximately one week.

So I decided today to kick her back into veg so she can develop a little more i'll probably keep her in that state for a week or two depending on how fast she grows, she seemed a little stressed and I definitely don't want her to be flowering when stressed.

I thought maybe she was showing signs of over fert at first so I flushed the soil then she looked like she was over-watered but now she bouncing back and looks very healthy and resilient, also starting to smell skunky :D.

Added a DIY co2 generator to the room (baking soda and vinegar), she still is showing signs of fertilizer burn even though I backed off the concentration by alot, but it's not too bad, shes still growing fast as hell. pics to come soon hopefully.

She has developed her first calyxes so I'm putting her back into flowering. She's a beautiful 11 inches tall now with huge broad fan leaves that are 5' long. I wish I could show you guys some pics but I don't have the cable for my camera but I may be able to get it sometime next week. Here's hoping!

i read somewhere your using MG?

if thats the case maybe looking into some Fox Farm Ocean Forest, Happy Frog or Root Organics later on..

reason being is if you do have some probolems with PH or nutes then you cant flush MG because it just keeps Fertilizing it over and over every time you water...and you cant flush at the end to get the chemical taste out

Ahh I see. I had heard bad things about MG but hey its all i've got lol.

I plan on only growing in soil for a while anyway, i'll be going hydro soon if I can scrounge up the $$.

How much yield can I expect from this plant based on the fact that it's been growing approximately 1 month and is a foot tall?

So I've found that this plant really likes fertilizers, I've been experimenting and giving her quite high concentrations of fertilizer and she's not burning. The main colas are now about 5 inches long and she's bushing out quite nicely. Still no trichomes.
