Hi guys this time this is my first time dwc try, i've learn to built one myself from RUI thanx to all the people here. These 2 only cost me like 100 tops about 70% of the money i spent was for the airpump, i wanted a good airpump. Enjoy if you like my pix hook it up with a rep point

First pix is one of my dwc its in a 30 gal tub with 6 site of 6inch netpot with hydroton. These were vegged for 2 wks.

Second is the same.

3rd we have my other dwc same setup except these were veged for 1 wk and pruned to make a single monster cola. Everything is working perfectly on this one.

same thing here.

Heres the moneyshot.

These can be viewed in my GALLERY for a closer look.

do you use a res for topping, and are the single colas better then the 6 packed in,what is the breakdown in yield do guess between the two9one cola over the bushy ones, thanks.

hey man that shit KICKS ASS.what strain is that?how soon after germination did you add your nutrients?i recently was given a sunlight sheds "caddy"with their own aeroponic system but no instructions ,plus the nutrients were like 5years old and i was'nt sure if they were still good or not, so i ordered "quick grow" from gro-tek but im getting conflicting instructions(what few instructions i can get out of them that is) at this point im almost ready to put in my AK-48 seeds but i'm not sure if i should put them in now or wait until my first true leaves appear.can anybody help me out?anxiously, stone farmer 420.

Yea i have a res where i mix my nute first then i have a pump from there which has a water hose and i just crack open the lid and fill my nutes to the desired hieght. Its not finish yet but it seems like the bushy one has more yield but alot of small nugs and also a few that isn't so dense. They both were under 1k lighting i believe on my next grow i will go with the pruning but i'll make a few more adjustment like leaving 2-3 stem per plant(if you can see one side of the dwc2 grow only has 1 stem and the other side has 2 stem). To me it seems like the one cola one isn't so behind from the bushy one yield wise. The final product will look like i'll be getting about 2 oz per plant for the one cola, not so sure about the bushy one.

its a bubblegum cross with some sort of purple strain from cali it wasn't stable i had to pick out a good pheno out of the grown seeds and those are the clones of it. After my clone rooted out of its 1x1x1 rockwool cube(must have alot of root sticking out but make sure u keep a eye on them while its growing out) i place them into the 6inch netpot with hydroton, i bury the cube. After that i raise my water lvl so that it flood the 6inch netpot bottom about 1 inch so that bubbles that escape from water can burst inside the spacing of the hydroton which produce a mist and induce root growth.

For nutrients i ussually give my cuttings 300ppm of clonex. One the clones rooted i start giving them 300-500ppm of nute, the gradually work up to 800 within a wk during this stage i give them half strength root stimulator.

For you just put your seedling in one of those starter cubes or peat pellet or something then do the same thing i did, wait for roots to burst out of the medium make sure you cover it up and don't expose it to light. Then when you get enough roots out put them into the dwc system. You can start your seedling off with flouro or clf.

Btw starting from seed into say the same system as mines will be bad because alot of root developement then you gotta kill the males and its just not enough space for a good seeded plant. So you might want to consider growing it then cloning it.

thanks for the reply wh.much apprietiated.ya i was wondering what was better one cola or bushy.if you can put six in 30 gallons and it does well, that is very good if you ask me.so you just top up your bublers, you do not not have a res with an overflow valve.that means you take the lid off each watering right. valve.

yea this is my first try with dwc and im impress! I will be adding more air bubblers on my next grow because i notice the middle plant which gets more bubble grew bigger. Just the whole setup is alot better then my ebbandflow w/ rockwool grow the stem is just crazy the bud has a very beautiful formation the color is very "BRIGHT". Its just amazing. And yes i fill in my tub like every 2-3 days, i just crack it open a lil bit and have water pump in there until i get to the water lvl i want.

i just checked them today and one of the plant litterally bended over! 90 degree! I was like OH shit! but when i took a closer look at the bend it didn't crack it was actually flexible? Never seen anything like that before. But this is the best bud i've ever seen! its Freaking glowing! i've never seen buds that glow like that before i'll definitely try to convert all my grow to this type of system and do a bunch of SOG one cola.

I'll take some more pix tomorrow.

pics would be nice,so your a big fan of the dwc aye.did you do soil before, and how do they compare

i've done soil before but my first ever grow started with hydro ebbnflow w/ rockwool.

My soil grow wasn't so bad i thought that hydro grows better, more potent and alot faster. But yea im definitely a big fan of DWC now, now i just need a really big commercial air pump.

im going to be working on a control resovoir also to take off a little bit of work for me. So far this dwc actually is least work then my ebbnflow setup. I plan on putting a pump inside the tubberware with a airhose going through it to circulate the water with air. After i get my controller setup i'll be doing a water chiller thanx for filthyfletch for the design.

i dont use led, but lighting hours for veg are as followed :(on/off) 16/8, 18/6, 20/4, 24/0

For vegging as long as your lights are on more then 12 hrs a day and dark least then 12 hrs a day your vegging.

For flowering it must be 12 hrs of dark and 12 hrs of on period equaling a day which is 24 hrs.

Do a search for LED there are a few growers that used LED for lighting maybe you can pick up some pointers from them.

Really good looking work there, waffle. So bottom line... would you ditch the ebb/flow for the DWC? I've been pretty happy with the ebb/flow with six plants in a 5x4 tray with a 10 gal reservoir. Everyone seems to be raving about the DWC but there's no good diagrams I can find for a series/connected system with a re-fill reservoir (anyone?). I saw an interesting picture in hightimes where one bucket had a float valve from a toilet tank, then that one was linked to six others. That looked interesting but, again, details were sketchy. Also, how often are you changing the nutes? I'm using general hydro flora nova (bloom) for my veg since its organic and one part. I had another question but I've totally spaced it...
