so those cheaper cfls and flourescent lights work better than as opposed to an indoor slash outdoor grow, much like what im doing with my plants

The light can get to the roots and cause you some problems. Same reason you don't want to start in the clear solo cups.

Yes. They will be more consistent. Not only that but bringing them in and out will expose them to more elements, more climate change, and more pests. Inside you can regulate whatever light cycle you want. If you want to grow outdoors then plant them out there and leave them.

no. cfl's and floros could never compete with the sun. floros and cfl's + outdoor sun = good on the budget.
if you got some good sun outside, I'd use it up and take advantage of it. then use the floros at night so the plant stays vegging so you can get some size on them. you also save a little on the electric bill
if you got a badass indoor system, then ya leave it in the room at all times.

They are kinda young to be putting them out right now, I would let them get to the second internode before hardening, one downside to growing outdoor is the elements, the climate, and pests, don't know if you get many deer but they love weed, get some predator piss or put a fence up, you can buy cheap deer fence. I don't suggest putting them in the ground until they're pretty big, put them in at least a 1 gallon pot for a couple weeks before the ground. What you're doing is called "hardening off", you can't start a plant indoors and then just put them outdoors, this will stunt there growth and weaken them, they aren't strong enough for the elements and they could die, you have to gradually put them out, but like dr.greenhorn said I would take advantage of as much sun as possible.

yeah im trying to keep them till the 3-4th node till transplanting into the ground, the thing im worrried about is that they wont be able to get any of that morning sun, and they have been outside most of their short lives

Yellow the reason i said get neem was because out doors u run the risk of getting all type of creepy crawlers on the girls the spots r most likely IMO spidermites check under ur leaves see if its.anything looking like dust grains and the longer u wait to transplant the harder it'll be

well this how my girls(hopefully) are doing today which is day 15, last night they got cut short of their sun light, brought them inside put them under a lamp that has a cfl light, and adjusted the lamp to where they were right above the pot. how do you think they are doing? let me know

if your on a budget, you can get away with it. you'll eventually need bigger containers if you want some weight
dixie cups would be a step up from those styrofoam shits. you don't have any dixie cups lying around the crib?

This could very well be too late man they desperately need new containers!
also your girls are too young for nutes just yet i'd stick with the tap water ph proper and ppm under 300MAX; the burn your seeing could also be lack of humidity... I can't say this enough girls at that stage need 80-90% humidity! they are tropical women and like it humid esp this young!
The sun is your friend and will always be superior to cfs! Just be sure they get 18hrs plus of sunlight or you'll be in flower from the get go.
Away to successfully ward of pests is a constant azamax treatment. I treat my girls with a drench every 7-10days and a foliar every 3-7 days depending on if there is an infestation and the degree of said infestation.
Also a great container to start with are red party cups with drainage holes in the bottom! Tha'ts where all of my girls start!
