My growsite was discovered

As most of you probably have seen from previous posts of mine I'm a noob when it comes to growing outdoors. I put a few plants outdoors in very secluded woods I own. Long story short, I went to check out my plants today which were 21 days old. I immediately noticed something was wrong when I started to enter the woods. I won't say exactly what I found at my grow site since I'm a bit paranoid the person responsible for this may visit this site. Either way, not only did I find clear evidence my plants were discovered, someone went out of their way to mess with me. (Read: A note, or something similar) The thing is I own these woods and I haven't told anyone about my grow. I'm also the type to stick to myself so the amount of people I know I can count on one hand. All of which I trust with my life. (They also didn't know about my grow) I've been running every possible scenario of how/who discovered my grow and can't come up with anything. I decided the best course of action was just to kill off my plants. The sad thing was they were all looking really healthy (they didn't touch the plants) and I was planning on adding a few more in a couple weeks once the weather chilled out a bit. I'm going to allow some time to chill out and then probably start building a grow box. It's annoying.. even when you think you've found the greatest outdoor spot you end up being wrong sometimes. Stay safe everyone...

Eh.. screw it, the likelihood of them surfing this site is pretty slim not to mention I'd hope someone from this site would be respectful enough of each others grows and peoples personal property. It wasn't a note but rather a small but long rope beginning at the entrance of the woods and ending a foot away from one of my plants. What made it even more of an "in your face" type deal is it began where I usually enter the woods. (It's not a pathway.. nothing but dence woods) I can only assume someone saw me enter the woods a few times, wondered what I was doing, and took a look for themselves. My only guess is that it was one of my neighbors. Who knows though.

To be completely safe, you are going to have to move / kill your plants. Somebody besides you knows you are growing and where your plants are. Personally I wouldn't risk it by leaving them grow but then again I'm an indoor only kind of guy. Play it safe, don't get caught.

If they are your woods , do you have it Posted private property? If not you should .

I would also abort the mission..

So you found my rope eh? lol j/k, they were probably marking the spot to enter your woods so they could come back when it was time to harvest.

Move em' or lose em', somebody is interested in what's growing in your woods.

Get a really big dog.
Done, I've got a Rottweiler/German Shephard mix. :) I'm actually surprised she didn't bark when whoever it was did this.

korvette1977, I've got signs posted "private property" and "beware of dog".

The plants were killed. It was a sad time tearing them up into pieces and sprinkling them on the ground. I swear I heard them scream.. lol. Seriously though, I've decided its time to move indoors. I'm going to hit Lowes tomorrow and pick up some lumber. I've already got 8 27watt CFL's.

...I'd buy a fucking grenade! Or just camp out right around your plants untill you hear him come up, then WHAM! whoop some ass, or get answers (incase it's your mom).

I'm all for defending myself but when it comes to talking about the plants, as far as I'm concerned, they never existed. Now if I see anyone on my property they will be introduced to my holstered gun and asked nicely to GTFO my property.

As for parents.. I wouldn't be growing at all if I still lived with parents. You shouldn't either unless you've got their permission. :-)

I'm definitely going to stay low for awhile. Why can't people just mind their own business?! :-|

Yeah i feel for you that really sucks. Sorry for your loss. I would post one of those motion activated cameras for hunting deer out there and try and get a pic of the prick so you know who your dealing with.

you know what .. once your spot is discovered, you gotta move on to a new spot.. good shit on destroying those plants.. start fresh and new away from there, and visit your plants in the early morning, nothing later than 7am

Ok here's a few good rules for outdor growing.
1. Once you have planted your crop never tend them with your face uncovered. If law enforcement or even nosy neighbors wanted to fuck you over they wouldn't just bust you right out, they'd leave cameras to record what you were doing, when, and then they would use it to build a case against you.

2. Also, maybe try putting up a security cam of your own, a cheap wireless that can wire or connect to your comp would be cool. Either that or some vhs tape. Whoever it was probably hasn't been back yet, but they will return and when they did you would know who it was... then it's your decision how to handle it. I vote turn the fuckers into fertilizer.
