It seemed odd that with 16 posts, there had only been one reply to my grow journal. So I looked at journals that get a lot of comments and this is what I found: At the top of the page are some links. They are "What's New? ... Articles ... Forum ... Grow Journals ..." So of course, when creating my grow journal, I clicked up there on Grow Journals. It turns out this is the wrong place to start a grow journal. Who would have guessed it was the wrong place for it? If you put a journal there, hardly anyone will ever see it. What you have to do is go to "Forum > The Grow Room > Grow Journals". Isn't that ... unexpected, to say the least?
You can see the beginning of my grow here in my original grow journal. The rest is here in this thread. To catch you up to date, though, here are the plants currently growing:
Blackberry, feminized, vegged for 56 days, been flowering for 10 days. Can be harvested from 12/1 - 12/15. It's in the res on the right.
Shark Shock, female, vegged for 36 days, been flowering for 4 days. Can be harvested from 11/23 - 11/30. It's in the middle res.
Cotton Candy, feminized, vegged for 39 days, been flowering for 1 day. Can be harvested from 12/7 - 12/17. It's in the res on the left.
I had 5 blackjack seeds. One didn't grow. One died tonight. One is looking sad. One is looking great. The other has two leaves that look sickly.
The first picture here is how the tent looked when I first opened it tonight. The blackjack that is now in the trashcan is in the front of the center res. The light came on a few minutes later. The second and third photos are of the top/bottom of a leaf of another problematic blackjack. I don't know what the problem is but it looks like that tobacco virus. The blackjacks are turning out to be finicky.
I'm using a 600 watt hps, the tent is 4x2, the nutrients are maxibloom, calmag, aquashield, and of course ph'd to 5.8-6.3.
I've been putting colloidal silver on one branch of the blackberry. If what I see on it are balls, in addition to white hairs, the balls are so small that I can't yet be sure they're balls.
Here are some pics of the plant that got put in the trash tonight:
I've never used a sweetener before so the res on the right is getting bud candy, the middle res is getting Sweet, and the res on the left doesn't get either. I started all 3 res' with aeroponics and then switched to dwc when the roots were always sitting in the water anyway. My next grow will be EnF.
The future posts should get better because 3 of these are flowering and should start forming buds soon. I won't be surprised if 2 of the 3 remaining blackjacks die, but one of them looks really good.
