DSC02868.JPG DSC02869.JPGHeres my contraption, it is a grow light with CREE 3070 cobs. It has a sheet metal plate 12x16 and an aluminum L SHAPED frame. I cut 4x4 holes for the Heatsink fan combo. Am using Artic 11 fans. painted the metal flat white. Drivers will arrive today and not sure about $6 Ebay fan control. The frame is riveted together and the fans are fastened with 6x32x5/8 bolts and nuts, same size but shorter for cob holders. Just need to know how to hook up fans.

do those driver all go to a single power outlet or do the four go to a separate power (point) outlet...

One COB and one drive is OK but never quite understood the multiple units thing...and how exactly they are wired..

They all come from 1 power supply, then 1 driver per cob. Just had to do some remodeling, turned all the fans 90 degrees for ventilation purposes, it also made more clearance for driver wires. The drivers are mounted on some square tube aluminum, that are fastened from underneath. Need to mount fan control when I get it and finish wiring.

Something's wrong with your installation. I'm attaching a copy of your picture to illustrate. I scaled and compressed the picture because it's way too big for a forum.

See the springarm inside the red circle? That's supposed to be pushing against the side of the COB, not flopped on top. If you watch the video on the Ideal website they specifically mention utilizing the springarm's tension on the side of the COB in order to keep it in the holder during installation.

Either the springarm is bent, or the COB isn't properly seated in the holder. Or a little bit of both...

YES I see that, went to check it out and there were 2 like that and the others were OK. I was able to push slightly over into place, That makes sense those are meant to have tension from the side. I saw earlier and wasn't sure if they were to hold it down or what . Thanks for the Eagle eye

The light is done good enough for my plant's and me DSC02887.JPG DSC02888.JPG It is working good thanks to a few good fellows that nursed me through this. Pretty easy to construct, the hard part for me was knowing what to buy. I won't name anybody ( because I can't remember names) but thanks to all who helped. I'd smoke a bowl with you if I could.bongsmilie
