i like the overlaping of all the lights effect. pretty cool. Nice lamp shade. lol. Ghetto power!!!!!

Tip-aluminum sucks for reflecting.

aluminum -57% reflectivity
white paint-86% reflectivity

More reflectivity = More light = more bud. The ultimate equation. lookin good though

i know,, im low budget though,, as you both have pointed out,, lol... i gotta get some paint rollers and brushes... oh and the paint... flat white right?

there are 4 different plants.. they are numbered in order of importance... weaker plants were of less importance... 1. and 3. are 20 days old,, and 2. and 4. are 3 days.... 1. and 3. are a breed of haze (a little bit of indica to shorten the long 12 weeks of flow for haze original) and one of 2. and 4. are also the haze breed and one of them is bagseed... im thinking #4., the weaker one of 2. and 4. (the one in the small pot with no direct light) is the bagseed,,, i had problems with this bagseed having one deformed cotyledon leaf before so thats why i didnt bother transplanting yet or bother giving it direct sunlight

ive topped #3. to see if i can work the second branch into the ScroG,,, how many times do most ppl top when doing ScroG? this is my first time ever doing ScroG and my second time growing indoor,,, any info about ScroG would be great..like, should i top #1.? i ahte topping my stongest plant :(....... my pots are 6 inches tall and i have the screen 12 inches off the ground,, leaving 6 inches for growth... is this okay? i wont be vegging them too long since im moving soon so i put it fairly close

I jacked me a mylar reflective blanket, and wow, pinning that on the walls throws all that light that would have missed the plant right back on the top and LOWER leaver.
and NO NO NO don't top it, look more into ScroG in the GrowFAQs, its a great simple method to keep the plant low and managable, its good if you have a little space but wanna get a lotta bud. nothing wrong with topping just stick with your ScroG youll be glad you did.

yea,, its not that i want to keep it low.. i can grow it to a max of 3.5 feet if i want,,, but i want to try and train it a certain way so i can do more than one plant this time... maybe do a couple plants on the sides vertically and ScroG the middle one... and i was thinking of trying to work in another plant (or maybe some of it) into the meshing to benefit from that HPS

Well you can train em any which way you want if you know what your doin theyre super strong plants. I've read about people making a cylinder outta chicken wire putting lights in it and training the plants AROUND It. sounds like a trip.

dont know if youll b down, but i know how you can max out the potential the set up will have. Like actually be able to get a couple ounces.

Loose that shade completly. Drop that light down and sorount it with plants that way all the light that light puts out will be utilized. Then add the cfls over the tops and what not for supllemental.

And yeah way to early to top

U could end up with something like this

something i just noticed today.. for some reason i was calling those tube flouros T30's when they are actually F30's... what exactly is the difference? i think i was calling it with a "T" because of these T8's everyone keeps asking about... these are just regular ass 3 foot shop lights... i dont even think i am going to use them this time around because of the ScroG... the last girl in there was a 3.5' tall beautiful sativa so it needed the side light.... these are sativa dominant as well so i dont know if they will turn out overly well in ScroG... I just figured a Indica dominant plant would do better with ScroG because of how bushy they are... anyone know??

here is an update on my little 2nd indoor grow... i made my ScroG grid a little more complex.. i was having a lot of heat problems and needed a way to air cool my bulb so i ditched the lamp shade lined with foil for a custom made "batwing" style reflector made from white malamine shelving and cardboard with white paper taped on it,, yes i know once again,, ghetto,, but it didnt cost me a dime... the main reason i changed it was so i could blow one of my 115v fans directly on the bulb as you can see,,, and it has done wonders for the temp,, got er below 80!

this is a ground shot of the op

i topped her and gave her a 27 watt clf on the side just for that little bit extra... might as well i guess.. shes going GREAT for a plant that was born with a deformity,, fat luscious leaves and two thick thick branches coming out with tight ass nodes

here is one of the youngins and the big girl,, they both have had a rough life dealing with heat stress (they are under the hps) due to improper cooling and a heat wave.. the new grrowth is coming in clean now that i have that bulb cooled and the outdoor temp has dropped. she is doing great now and is very stout with long vertical branching (which i thought odd for a sativa dominant).. i got another 1 1/2" until the ScroG, so it might be a little low,, we will see what happens

this one has been acting strange so i thought i would turn it into an experimental plant kind of deal... so i tried a new topping technique,, i cut the vertical growth off and one of the newest leaves... the single leaf that i left on turned completely upright by the next day and now is achieving vertical growth,, this is going to be a strange looking plant,, it is hard to see with the pics my camera is shitty
