I read about relocating cactus...you must situate it facing the same exposure...don't fully understand why...so if you dug up a plant leaning west it must be planted the same way.I'm planting a fence of cactus around my property. I'm trying to get as many species as I can find. I've got around 7 so far. There is some purple prickly pear cactus that is native to texas, but I'd have to take a road trip to get some.
I go on vacation next month and I plan on digging up some native plants for the yard. The yucca trees have just started coming up a few miles down the highway too.
